Thanks again Kez for your help, am actually in an IVA at the moment so if l get anything it will go towards that . Funny really cause if l hadnt had all the stupid charges on l would still have the account , got charged 1 month 365 quid for returned standing orders and they didnt even add up to half off the charges !!!

It really is ridiculous !! They're robbers. I'm claiming 5.8k over my two accounts  I've just replied to you on the general thread giving you all the details of Lloyds solicitors if you haven't seen that yet,

    Good luck with yours

  • Hi.

I've sent off my letter asking lloyds to repay me my charges over the past 6 years, this came to £4500 before interest. i decided to use the interest calculator for this amount and it came to over £5000, i have asked them to repay the full amount including interest. if however it goes to the small claims court have i screwed myself by going over the limit or can i back track later on and claim for less that £5000, say without the interest.

im just unsure if lloyds will be awkward about this.

i didnt read your reply last weekend KEZ until now so i wish id waited until reading before claiming.

any extra help anybody would be greatly appreciated.

    Dave.

I have 2 claims with Lloyds going through at the moment for my daughter & son.
Both sent at exactly the same time, filed with MCOL one immediately after the other.
They have sent their 9 point defence for one but not the other .
I was wondering if there is a pattern forming where they pay up on the cheaper claims ie. less than 2k and defend the higher claims??

The other query I have is that I just read a thread were District Judge Murdoch is to take the case.
Do these guys travel around because he's in charge at Gloucester for my case?

I filled in all the Court papers etc, and the bank hadn't responded so I sent off the "judgement by default" form.

In the meantime, the bank must have responded as I've got now a "Notice that Acknowledgement of Service has been filed" dated 30 May. However, I also have a copy of my "Judgement for Claimant (in default)" dated 9 June.

    What happens now?

I'm presuming that their Acknowledgement takes precedent as it is dated earlier... but I no longer have a form to send back to Court if they don't respond within their new 28 day limit because I have already sent it back previously when they hadn't responded!!

    Help!!
