Has anyone had this before once they have served notice from the court on the bank? And has anyone continued to take the bank to court?

Most people here have continued beyond the bank acknowledging service.
Hamsters have no tact and diplomacy, nor do they want any.
  • I take it i ignore the letter and keep the court case going? Do i write to the bank telling them that the offer is not acceptable. And do i advsie the court that they have tried to make an offer?

You don't have to advise the court, but you do need to show the court that you have taken part in negotiations with the bank, so yes reply to the bank, but keep a copy of the letter as you will need to produce it as part of your bundle at a later date.

Meanwhile please read this thread, it will answer most, if not all of your questions... http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=400981

This is a standard offer from Lloyds and often received before court action has been started. I'll pop this into the Lloyds thread where you will find most people in the same situation.
  • I wonder if they will cover my £120 and i would be looking to accept the offer as its alot of money to gamble on the court case.
  • I see from previous posts that the £750 letter looks like std offer! Has anyone ignored this continued with the court proceedings and won their full amount?

What is the telephone number to ring? - I sent the letter threatening court 17 days ago and still no reply. Was going to try phoning before claiming online.
