I have been sorting out reclaiming bank charges for my mum and dad:beer:
LLoyds bank owe nearly £4500 in bank charges.
i have the bank statements, and sent the letter stating how much.
Now they have had a letter saying they have to wait another 4 wks for a reply to the bank charges.
do i go ahead stating court action or wait?
    thanks

Stick to your time scale not there's, if you told them 14 days or 7 days stick to that, all they do is try and waste time.
If you don't you will still be here next year!

    Thanks,Helen x

Yep, your daily rate of interest is £0.34.

And yes, this is where you put your account number.

I received a letter from Lloyds a couple of days ago, saying their charges were fair etc... basically not even bothering to consider payment of my charges. I am not sure what to do next? They seemed to have just tried to fob me off. I am only claiming for £300 for the last 4 years. Are they generally paying out? or is court action needed for them to consider anything?

    Thanks

Hi just to let you know that aout of all the cases i have read so far i havent heard many not going to court or financial ombudsman with them you can either wait or go to court its up to you!;)

Posted first letter to LLoyds on 17th April 07.
Received a reply 13 days later (3rd May) with the usual drivel blah blah blah. Not put off!
Sent my letter saying if they didn't pay it would go to court on 3rd May.
No reply as yet as can't afford fees until I get paid.
Tried to ring the Andover recovery centre and I get the same message, Option 1 " if it is under 28 days that you sent your letter we will get a reply to you in 28 days" then cuts off.
The other option 2 " if your letter is over 28 days, we are sorry and we will get one out to you asap". Cut off!

I am claiming for £5,058.66, that is including charges. I haven't seem many people having claims a big as mine though. I'm a bit worried.

My partner is claiming £2,100 from them as well.

Hi dont let it put you off they are quite hard and dont tend to make an offer they like you to go all the way i sent my letter on the 20/04 and second letter on the 06/05 and i havent heard anything either i keep trying the phone but am getting nowhere i have sent a letter to the ombudsman so i will wait for a reply of them and then if need be i will take them to court good luck
