I posted my sons letter threatening court to Lloyds on 4th May.I supose I should take then to court now as I havent had a reply.I'm scared stiff though. As he is only claiming £500 I thought they may pay up but we havent heard a thing.

They won't pay up even for an amount like this, if you look at the success thread they are paying out but they are the most difficult bank.

If you need any help, pm me..

    Good Luck..

To work out the daily interest, multiply the amount of your claim (charges only, not including interest) by .00022.

Ive just done that and got 0.34122 on my calculator...is this right? I don't wanna get anything wrong as its for my mother in law!

Also, just to check before I hit print..question 1 on the form..where it says 1 'the Account' is this where i am meant to put in her account number? And she doesnt know how long she had the account open for..so what do I put for that bit?

    Hi,
I'm at a similar stage to you, I received my Notice of Transfer of Proceedings dated 8th May. And yesterday got my court date 29th June!
Should not be too long now hopefully.... mine is for a piddly 170 squid why are they making this cost so much more than they have too?

    Hi

I am also in this position. My claim is for £288.00 inc ct fees and interest. They have defended my claim today so I have no idea what to do next and are they lightly to settle?????

I am a little concerned as I think I failed to put the account number on the summons! Oh well I will have to wait and see what they say from here on.

Just wondering whether its worth pursuing LLoyds for charges seeing I'm going to have a discussions with them re debts I owe to them. Would this help settle the balance between us or would it cause me more problems which I really can't deal with? Any comments or help very welcome!!

Looking at reclaiming charges from LLoyds but alos sorting out debts I have with them - is it worth it or would it be better offsetting the charges I want to reclaim against the debts I have with them? Know loads of people seem to have had problems with Lloyds so any help would be brilliant. Thanks

    Or slightly differently...

Take the number of days since the charge was made (e.g a charge of £30 on the 14th March 2001), i.e. 2261 days

    so that would be

    30 * 0.022 / 100 * 2261 = 14.93

    Charge x 0.022 / 100 * Days = Charge Interest
Hamsters have no tact and diplomacy, nor do they want any.

The date of Judgement was 16th May and i also sent it to the andover address. I sent a special delivery Yesterday which has been delivered asking for the payment in 10 days or i will issue a warrant.

Same date as me! As judgement has been entered in your favour you will need to speak to a "Mr Jones" at the Solicitors, sadly he doesn't return calls (I have been waiting 48 hours since I first was given his details regarding this - I'm not sure if it's genuine (i.e. he is very busy) or if it's delaying tactics.

The problem with issuing the warrant is that it delays the time till you get your money, I just ring up several times a day asking to speak to him. You will get told to be patient and that he will call back...

Good luck, let's see who gets their money first!

    EDIT!

ME! MONEY DUE INTO ACCOUNT TODAY OR TOMORROW! HOORAY! I'm not putting it "success's" until the cash is in the account, I also have a further £380 of charges on that account which the solicitors suggest I discuss with the branch, because I have had a succesful claim they won't want me to claim again!

I received a letter from Lloyds a couple of days ago, saying their charges were fair etc... basically not even bothering to consider payment of my charges. I am not sure what to do next? They seemed to have just tried to fob me off. I am only claiming for £300 for the last 4 years. Are they generally paying out? or is court action needed for them to consider anything?

    Thanks

I would send a letter stating that you will accept as part payment only and carry on to court for the rest. their offer was only about 60% of your charges. If you accept the offer you will be kicking yourself later!

There are plenty of people in the success thread who accepted as part payment and got the rest through the court so i dont think it makes any difference to your claim.
But only you can decide if its worth taking them to court for.

    GOOD LUCK

OK so send a letter to them stating I accept their offer of £750 as part payment, but will still be taking them to court for the balance of £X in 7 days, and then pay £120 to try and get the other £X?
