  • I have just received notice on Moneyclaim that Lloyds Tsb intend to defend my claim for charges against them.Moneyclaim states that this is the end of the on loine process.
I notice That Martin Lewis mentions a court time questionaire? which I need to fill in.

Has anyone been taken this far and what do I do next??

    Andy,
Go to the Lloyds thread, there are loads of us there in the same position.
Wait now to hear from your local court, my court has dispensed with the questionaire so yours might have too. It's just a waiting game now between Lloyds SC&M and us.

 Hi, I am new to all this and a bit confused???

I have just filled in the online claim form to claim £3900 from Lloyds TSB. It has been going on now for almost three months!!!

The problem is I have a loan with Lloyds bank which, due to me being off on maternity, I have fell behind with one payment. If they pay my money back, does anyone know if they can take this money back from the amount they give me???

Also does anyone know how long after you fill in the claim online are LLoyds Bank taking to pay out???:o

They would be within their rights to cover any debts with the money. Normally they pay the monies direct into your account. The loan is covered by a different contract than your bank account so the rules may be different.
Hamsters have no tact and diplomacy, nor do they want any.
  • Hi there, i have just recieved a letter from ltsb thanking me for the court information i sent them through moneyline and her majs court service. ( i think they applauded my neat handwriting). They have replied with a lovely detailed letter regarding how i could have used there phone banking system and other devises to aviod the charges i incurred. These proberbly cost me more to actually make than what the bank actually charged me. They also outlined that they were there to help us poor !!!!!!s in the hour of need.......yep i remember christmas of 2004 when I was charged over £470 which rendered me broke even though i begged them not to debit my account they did so. It was a stressfull and fairly miserable time for me and my familly....especially when i was working 65 hrs plus a week. SO I want to get every single penny back off them. I also want to know weather anyone out there has had extremely stressfull situations due to massive bank charges and if so have you tried to take them too court over this. Two questions arise
    1) i have been told that the pitiful amount they are willing to reimburse me will be in my account with-in 10 days. I dont want it. I want the lot so where do i go as hmcs tells me i have to wait 14 days before i can get at 'em?
    2) Has anyone taken the banks to court regarding the dire consequenses of these illegal bank charges.
all advice will be read and noted
    thank you.

Have you actually read any posts before asking this?

Write to them and say you are accepting their payment as a partial reimbursement but will be pursuing them for the balance - give them say 14 days to transfer the rest or take them to court.

I issued my court papers to ltsb on 8 May, so they have until 27 May to respond - so far nothing, I expect they'll wait till the last minute - from what I've read, they seem to do that a lot.

Don't be scared, you'll get your money back, although they will drag it out!

Well, folks, you could knock me down with a feather right now. Yesterday Lloyds TSB put a defence in to our claim at the last minute. Upon coming home today the OH waved a large envelope at me, containing the defence by Lloyd's solicitors. Attached were two copies of a confidential letter with a lot of "your claim has no legal merit" but "the Bank is willing to settle your claim." They will pay OH the full amount including interest and court costs in full and final settlement and this agreement will remain confidential (oops).

I am a bit paranoid about the confidentiality agreement so I will post in the Success thread with the exact amount once the cheque has been safely deposited in the bank, so please don't move this post there.

Here's a thought - would he get the money if he crossed the confidentiality bit out?
    Reclaimed thanks to this site:

Well done you!! Just wondered how long it took from the day you started court proceedings, I started mcol on 11th May, but reading through there seems to be no real pattern to the way lloyds work, ie some have a real fight, some get offeres etc.
