Currently trying to claim over £2000 with Lloyds , sent first 2 letters and did speak to someone by phone who has said they are re-assessing my case (this after the automated blah-blah letter etc...) .. have now been waiting sometime though and cannot for the life of me get through on the andover number , same thing every time 'we are experiencing a high volume of calls......' , 'leave a message (then mailbox is full)' ....does anyone have any other ideas how to contact one of these guys???
help much appreciated!!
I was having exactly the same problems earlier today, but I had recived judgement in my favour (due to no defence). In the end I spoke to customer services who found me a back door way to the Andover recovry centre. They then gave me the number of their solicitors ( 01273 205381) who were very helpful - BUT this may have been because of where my case has got to.
IMHO, if you feel you have been waiting too long, go to MCOL and issue the claim.0 -
Hi,
I am in the process of reclaining my bank charges for approx. £2000 from Lloyds TSB. After sending the standard 2 letters, I recieved an offer of £750. I decided to phone them to see if they would offer any more and was told that £750 was the maximum the would pay out as a goodwill gesture and that there was no-one in the whole of Lloyds that I could speak with to see about getting a further offer.
Has anyone else had this answer? Does anyone have any advice? If you take it to court, how long does the process take?
I feel a bit edgy about it and am unsure what to do next.
Thanks in advance.0 -
Standard letter and offer from Lloyds, I'll just shift your post into the Lloyds thread where you'll find everyone with the same tale!0

cheeky is not the word, at the time of getting the account with them i thought great, as they were the only one's to help me, little did i know down the line i would end up paying nearly a full weeks wages on charges and ended up in debt due to these charges which i am now sorting out, i would say stay away from this bank and i have now opened a new account with alliance and leicester:cool:https://www.advertising-s1te.co.uk

Not sure what I am doing, had statements from Lloyds, sent a letter requesting fees back. Had a letter back in a week which said that they see their charges as fair. Also in the letter she said to ask for statements. Are they thick? Can i claim O/draft usage fee and o/draft excess fee?

Hello folks
I am in the middle of a claim with Lloyds for just over 1000 pounds, I have recieved a letter offering 750 as final settlement.
My question is do I have to do anything to accept the amount offered? also they stated in the letter dated the 11th that the money would be placed in my account within ten days. Has anyone else had this and did they pay up in a timely manner?
Many thanks in advance.
Steve

Good for you i dont find lloyds helpful at all there has been many occasions i have asked for help with these charges and just find that they are stuck up and expect you to live on fresh air!!!
They just dont realise if they take £200.00 in charges a month then people are going to get in debt
Its about time this happend with the banks they carnt get away with this!!0 -
Let's be honest though... all the banks are the same, there is no "worst" one... they'd all go through your pockets at your wake just to get one last "service fee".Hamsters have no tact and diplomacy, nor do they want any.0

Hi,
hope someone an help. We have a five month old baby and are finding it difficult to make time to eat, let alone make sense of bank charges.
I have written to the TSB detailing all my charges and sent my letter with statements enclosed.
I received a letter back last week which said:
"The office of Fair Trading has published new guidelines on credit default charges. We are still talking it through with them, but the important point is that the guidelines are about 'default charges' that people pay when they break an agreement with us. This doesn't apply to your charges as these were for dealing with your request to go over your agreed overdraft limit. They are not default charges because you haven't broken your agreement. They are the prices for the service we provide in these situation."
I can't seem to make much sense out of this, as my charges were for going over my over draft. bouncing cheques and direct debits that I didn't cover. Are Lloyds just trying to baffle me? They also go on to suggest that if I need a copy of my statements I should send them £10 but I have already done this in the letter they are corresponding to.
Can anyone please shed any light on this?
Regards
Steve -tired and poor-0
