Hi,
hope someone an help. We have a five month old baby and are finding it difficult to make time to eat, let alone make sense of bank charges.
I have written to the TSB detailing all my charges and sent my letter with statements enclosed.
I received a letter back last week which said:
"The office of Fair Trading has published new guidelines on credit default charges. We are still talking it through with them, but the important point is that the guidelines are about 'default charges' that people pay when they break an agreement with us. This doesn't apply to your charges as these were for dealing with your request to go over your agreed overdraft limit. They are not default charges because you haven't broken your agreement. They are the prices for the service we provide in these situation."
I can't seem to make much sense out of this, as my charges were for going over my over draft. bouncing cheques and direct debits that I didn't cover. Are Lloyds just trying to baffle me? They also go on to suggest that if I need a copy of my statements I should send them £10 but I have already done this in the letter they are corresponding to.
Can anyone please shed any light on this?
Regards
Steve -tired and poor-
Ignore this letter its standard bullsh** from LTSB, go onto the next stage.

Yes you have to pay an allocation fee regardless of whether or not you fill out an allocation questionnaire. It is reclaimable though.Hamsters have no tact and diplomacy, nor do they want any.0 -

If this means i have won does anyone know how long it takes to recieve the money?
Im really comfused , can anyone help0 -
I have just successfully filed against Lloyds TSb and had to take it to the apply to court stage before they settled out of court by putting £570 directly into my bank account. I could have challenged this and gone for the full amount by refusing to accept a part settlement but as it is near to the amount claimed its not worth the hassle. If your claim was filed over 14 days ago you can apply to the court for a judgement when the bank has failed to answer the claim. Fill in form N225 and return to the court.0

Was contacted by them on Friday, not the solicitors, and was told that they think I am only owed £400, not the £4,603 we are claiming for, and that they would settle at that. Told the idiot I would see them in court and asked that they file their paperwork asap as I don't want them to stall on this part.
Is this a new tactic?
