Most of us have had that letter. It's a basic get lost letter as Martin said you are most likely to get. Carry on, it make take a while but people are getting there in the end.0

Funny that! We received the same letters - re two accounts for which we are claiming (one of which has made an offer that we accepted by post on Saturday but have yet to see the money back in the account); we started our claims at the end of January - we had the two letters signed by Debbie Gilbert which were date 8th February. The letters were full of mistakes i.e. our surname spelt wrong, no account number on the letter, etc., so we phoned the office to be told that Debbie Gilbert had been moved on and no longer worked in that department! This is definitely a standard fob-off letter and I don't believe the said Debbie Gilbert even exists. We were told during that phone call that the letter was actually written by Martin Ardliono and that the Team Manager was Paul Goddard - perhaps none of these people really exist! Anyway, carry on with your claim - we have had an offer on one so, as long as the money is forthcoming without our having to send in the Bailiffs, it's worth it. It's YOUR money, don't forget!KNIT YOUR SQUARE TOTALS:

OMG yes dont let that minor win from the district judge put you off....as already in the media..there are even high court judges that dont agree with the "cloaking charges" as the courts have named it..every judge is free to his/her oppinion..and circumstances and events are always taken into consideration....I think where some cases are put forward as being Illegal charges, is where the judges defendants and most claimants know...the charges are not illegal...never state them as illegal because they are not...they are unlawful which is totally different, and in our oppinion as a consumer..disproportionate...to the actual cost..and that is what we are claiming for...

Nik,
I am currently looking at my statements from the past 6 years on an old Lloyds account we have since closed so have been following this thread today to pick up some tips.....I havent any experience of doing so yet, but this part of the letter you quoted make me take notice:....If you have asked for copy statements and paid the fee, we'll send them to you within the 40 day limit set by the data protection act.
If you have not yet sent the £10 fee you will need to send it to us at the address below. The 40 day limit starts from when we receive your payment Please quote the reference number shown above when you send your cheque to us.

has anyone out there actually has gone to court and won????
the thought of another 100 pounds to waste scares me being close to xmas.
i have just recieved a notice of defence which has a claimants reply form on it asking if i wish to proceed.
i do want to proceed but it also says that i have to send a copy to the defendant, do i send this to the solicitor for the bank or to the bank itself?
also does anyone know if lloyds have paid out to business customers? i guess the law is the same for all?0 -

This makes the letter look like a standard one they send to all people who make a claim or request their charges.....definately not a personal letter about your individual case!
