I'm sure this has been said a million times already, but maybe the guy losing against Lloyds, done a completely rubbish job of preparing his paperwork.

I have taken my bank Lloyds tsb to court for around £4.000 they have replied saying that the charges were default charges, charges not because i broke my agreement but because of the service they provided and i was asking to go overdrawn (which of course i wasnt) has anyone else had a letter like this? i am now very jittery after reading of Lloyds winning a case.0

I've had this letter, they're basically saying get lost. Lots of us have had this letter. I'd carry on. I'm a little unsure but I'm still pressing on as I feel I am right.0 -

I know most of you seem to now be talking of the final stages of claiming back your money but I am still slowly applying for all statements from various banks so I'm sorry if this has come up and I have managed to miss it.
I received a list today from Lloyds with a few overdraft fees including interest from a time when I did have an overdraft. They haven't sent me all of my statements and the list does not include returned d/d's or anything. They must have charged me thousands over the years yet there is about £100 I could actually claim for on their so called list of charges.
I used the template from this website which I'm sure states all the different types of charges that I want to know about.
Has this happened to anyone else>?
If so, what did you do?
Please help. As I've had probs with a couple of other banks I'm really losing the urge I need to carry on with this!0 -

Where in letter 2 should i have put "without prejudise" does this affect my claim???????????????????

As set out in this example:
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/redir/bdbeed29
Does this affect the amount you claim? Yes. Say for example you were claiming £2000, but then wrote them a letter saying you would settle for £1800. Then they are quite within their rights to offer that amount as settlement in full. However, and I assume this is LLoyds, they will probably either refuse or not even reply. In which case go ahead and say 'OK stuff that then' and claim your original amount (ie. £2000) through small claims.0
