    Hi,

LTSB ackowledged my claim on Friday. Does anybody know if they are paying up before defending the claim or will I have to go through the Court process.

My Claim is for a meesley £288.00 with interest and Court Costs so by most standards a small amount?

Anybody out there know how they are dealing with smaller claims?

    Thanks

I have a claim for £160 which they acknowledged and defended, it seems we have to extract the money from them kicking and screaming the same as everyone else. Of course with interest court fees and solicitors fees if will prob cost them several thousand to pay me off in the end... but hey did any of us ever accuse lloyds of having a brain!! ;)

    Hi All,

    Hope someone can help me!

We are curently trying to reclaim from Lloyds (just over £2000) and have got to the stage of submiting our claim online and we are now waiting the 14 days for Lloyds to respond (defend the claim etc).

Now having read this report on bbc website about Lloyds defending and winning their first case we are starting to panic!

We are not very up on the whole court thing so could someone kindly explain in laymans terms what this means for us.

    A few questions......

    1. What are Lloyds likely to do now? Will they defend our claim?

    2. If they do defend do we actually have to go to court? (opened this claim with no intention of ever actually going to court - all the info I read everywhere said it would never actually get that far!)

    3. If they are likely to defend and we have to go to court can we just cancel the whole thing before it gets that far?

    4. If it does end up at court and we dont show up do Lloyds automatically win?

    5. And if it goes to court and Lloyds win by whatever means will we have to pay their costs?

    Thanks in advance

    From really panicking!

  • I heard this on the news on the radio and am now wondering if I should take it to court.

It took me six months to do mine (roughly) and the OFT make a decision and the end of the year about charges so if you want all of them back I would do it now. Not sure what everybody else thinks. If you only have to pay the court fee it is worth the risk!

  • I've read what other people think and I'm going to keep going. Although it would be a kick in the teeth if I lost and had to pay Lloyds fees.
  • I am with the Lloyds Tsb. I wrote to them for the maximum £750 plus interest (as i am in Scotland). I got two letters back, one saying they would look into it then another explaining to me how charges work and that they were well within their rights to charge me these amounts (ie a friendly chase yer sel). I sent them the third letter as per the method on this site (i skipped the second letter). I hadnt heard anything for a month and so today i filled in the court forms to lodge them at Glasgow Sherrif court tomorrow. I have just checked my bank account and lo and behold there is a 'Goodwill refund' of £750 in today. I couldnt beleive it particularly with the first victory for the banks today with the Lloyds TSB case being upheld and secondly the fact i filled in these court papers.
