Dear Team,
I started my “fight” with Lloyds Bank TSB regarding my bank charges on the 23rdMrach 2007. On the 19th April 2007 I received a letter from them , apologising that they did not received my letter of 23/03/2007!(A day after I sent the second letter registered and 1st class post)
In my second letter I stated that I am taking them to court and I also enclosed a copy of my previous letter and schedule of all the charges again.
As attachments I am enclose a copies (scanned) of there 1st letter and then their reply about the cost of sending D/D and cheques bank.
In this letter they talk about credit card charges (I haven’t got one!) My charges or prices are for service they provide.
Further more I do not need and I did not ask them for statements because as you can see I have the info and even the bank statements numbers.
Statement
Page O/D Ex Fee Unpaid D/D Total
xx Totals 465.00 540.00 1005.00
Please help me !
It seems as if Lloyds is not going to pay. Please put me in touch with a person that I can talk too.
Regards
Hantie
Ps I did go to the forum regarding claiming and basic bank account but I need more help.
Have a nice day
(How do I copy the Letters received as attachments for somebody to read?) Very Stupid me!
This is the standard reply to all, they try to put you off saying the charges are for the service that they provide and not what you are trying to claim for.
They must have had these letters printed in bulk.
If you look at this thread earlier in the pages someone typed up the full letter.
Stick at it and follow up with your next letter but make sure you stick to the time scales.
Good Luck0 -
Please can I have some advice.
I have done to the letter what is suggested here.
After my first 'NO' letter I sent another letter asking 'without prejudice' for a settlement. I gave them 14 days to reply and that was up last friday, so can I get some advice on what next to do please?
Do I simply write again, enclosing a copy of my last letter and ask them for a speedy reply?
I knew that of after the first letter you carried on regardless, so I did so is my next step a letter saying that becasue they ignored my last letter it is my intention to take them to court if I have heard nothing within 14 days and then go ahead and do it?
Also has anyone used the interent link on Martin's page to legally take people on????
Any help would be great

hi just wondering if anyone can help me? i'm going through the court stages with Lloyds tsb and my claim has been defended. I really cant be bothered with them dragging this out and wanted to know if anyone knows if it would be ok to write another letter asking for them to settle out of the court for say £950 when i am actually claiming £1044,if this is acceptable where do i send the letter? and can anyone help me out with what i shoud write?
many thanks Becky x0 -
I have been following the MSE :money: procedure to attempt to claim about £1200 and have just had my claim acknowledged by Lloyds through the Moneyclaim site (on the 14th day might I add!!).
They have also sent me a letter on the 11th May, referring to my second and last letter dated the 16th March, to say that they have nothing more to add to their initial response that basicly said the charges were not default charges!?!?! (although they were for being overdrawn, unpaid DD's, etc.) They now say that the case is in the hands of their solicitors.
I now understand that they have 28 days from the date of the claim being served to file a defence. I'm going over all my details to ensure I haven't missed anything and that my case is water tight.
However, I can't help feeling nervous now that they have solicitors involved and I am concerned that they have me on a legality of some sort. What do I do now as I'm not sure I'll be able to fight against the legal big boys? I've never been in court before!?!?!

Yeah nothing to worry about really...
Mine has just be defended so will be going to local courts, its just another step with LLoyds.
BBC News had an article about all this yesterday, basically saying the courts are getting fed up with the banks and should pay up before it gets to this situation.0 -
I'm not sure I can argue my case in the formal surroundings of a court. My orating skills are not exactly brillient!
Thanks for the vote of confidence but I'm still bricking it! :T :T :T
Has anyone got any good tips in the event of going into court and how do the proceedings take place?
