they normally offer £750 depending amount they owe un try 2 con u saying its a full n final settlement but its not legal unless u accept it as such!!!i took years b4 i decided ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ask 4 6 yrs statements,do ur 2 letters n then take them 2 court.good luck0 -
Just had the standard letter off them today from Andover. The time is up on monday for the 1st 14day letter.
Is it worth sending a 2nd letter as in the first i informed them of court action unless i was given the charges back. Whats the point in giving them more time as this is going against the 1st letter.
You might as well say in the 1st place you give them 28days if this is the case.
its up 2 u but id send 2nd letter.follow the process it works:beer:0 -

I have given them seven days to reply then I will commence MCOL.
My questions are: are they closing many accounts?
How much success have people had?
Do they often take it all the way?
Could I end up paying all the court fees, including theirs?
Also they have nineteen days to respond after MCOL is that right?

Ps I'm claiming from Lloyds TSB and I requested statements over six weeks ago now which they completely ignored so I did it through online banking.0 -

hi all
well ive had enough of lloyds now i threatened them with court and their time was up on april26, i thaught i'd give them a couple of weeks extra to see if they offered me anything, but nothing not even a peanut!! So i was out last nite and have a stinking headache, and i'm in the right frame of mind so ive just filed for court with MCOL!! so as they say "let the games begin!!

Funny you should say that but i received a response to the LBA rather than the acknowledgement..court issue of proceedings was entered 4th may deemed for them to receive by 9th may to acknowledge by 23rd may, well they went passed the reply to LBA date so I actioned on mcol, now on the deemed date they responded with the usual blasphemy and an offer of £750, Pah! so i now have to go back to the bother of writing to them yet again to tell em that the offer is unnaceptable.... they should have received notification and that I am continuing with court proceedings for full amount claimed.

i've just read on another thread that when you start MCOL that you should then send 2 copies of your charges schedule and interest calculations to northampton with a brief letter with your claim number saying that you wish these to be filed with your claim? is this true? i never did this and i'm at the stage where lloyds have entered a defence.

Haven't heard about the 2 copies before. LTSB will ask you for copies of all the paperwork anyway.
