anybody, what does MCOL mean please?

money claim online. I wouldn't advise you to proceed with anything until you've read a few threads and familiarised yourself with every last detail. It will help you a great deal and not having the knowledge can't be a good thing.
The threads are fascinating anyway, so having a good old root through them is not unpleasant!

    hi
I am ready to fill in mcol but have a couple of questions first I followed all the rules and asked for my money back sent two 14day letters with no reply
when I got my statements letter dated 27/04/07 at the bottom it says
*please send any remaining statements prior to 1st september 2001
I have never received these but keep getting statements from saving account
    so
I have received statements (well print outs from 01/08/02
and this is how I have worked my claim out.
I want to know can I take the amount I am claiming from 01/10/02
which is £1038.86 (including interest) and divert it up to estimate the
rest of charges my first letter was sent 14/03/07 which I assume it
    the date of my claim.
charges are for 54 months can I divert that by charges and x 72 which gives me
    1384.56

I hope you understand what I am getting at and can help me since lloyds
are not going to send me the rest of statements once I have started my claim
    thanks

I will be, I don't see why not unless you have signed a something which says not

At the moment I have only files court action on one account for a 3 year period I intend to do it again for the remaining three years if they continue to Ar** around.

I also have a second account which I intend to go for, as they are really pi**ing me off.

I hope that I'm correct with what I have said if anyone else knows any other please let me know.

hi Hookys1 - had tea with my friend who works in solicitors and got the crack - basically we have won and there nothing they can do to overturn the verdict. they will try tricks of trade but we are entitled to money now and they have to whistle to our tune. she suggested the following - give them 1 week - then ring up there solicitors tell them we have judgement against them and want to know when we are being paid - she said wait to see what they say - no doubt will be x amount of weeks - she said tell them you want paying within x amount of days otherwise you will be calling in enforcement (i..e bailiffs) she is going to email me on monday to advise on the actual wording to use (i.e. legal jargon so they know we are NOT idiots and know the score) so i'll pm you it once i get it off her.

she also said she thinks banks are pulling the you know what, with the likes of us as we dont know legally whats what - which is true. She said they CAN NOT extend there terms and HAVE to whistle to our tune. I said there people who are waiting 3/4 plus weeks once they have judgement and she said NO WAY that must be cause they are allowing the banks to have that time.

so once i get it on monday i'll wing it over to you (she did advise me whole wording however after several vinos it seemed to escape me)

cheers there i will look forward to hear what your mate says:T :T :T :T
  • Just a bit of info for those that may have a Lloyds TSB bank account;

This is how the bank responded after sending the first letter requesting £90 in charges. Naturally, i will be sending the second letter for this claim.

I shall be closing my account with Lloyds as soon as i get my money back, because i find them completely useless anyway. They are unhelpful, rude and incompetent. For example, an in branch cash machine ate my debit card two days before i was going abroad. I had to speak to three advisers as well as the main branch manager demanding that they open the machine and return my card. They were rude to me and it was only when i threatened to close my account that I got my card back.

Anyway, expect this letter if you apply for your charges. As a further note, I included multiple original bank statements and letters with my claim. It is a good job i photo copied them, because they have not returned the originals.

    Be warned!
