    Hi all,

A couple of questions you folks might be able to help with!

Finally got my allocation questionnaire through today. So:-

    1. Have until 30th May to pay £100... if I pay sooner am I likely to get an earlier court date?

    2. When do they confirm the court date?

    3. Why do I need to pay another £100 when I've already paid £120 court fees?

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks

You'll find the guide to the AQ and further court fees in the Reclaim Help Thread which is linked in my signature. If your claim is over £1500 you have to pay a further £100 but this can be claimed back from the bank.
  • Hi all

First off, what a magnificent set of threads this is, I've been mulling this over for ages and I'm ready to go.

I have just one question someone might know the answer to:

I'm going to claim charges on my current account. I also have a savings account, credit card (Visa) and a joint business account with Llloyds TSB.

I understand they can't close off the credit card (which has £11,000 on it!) but what I'm concerned about is that I have a business bank account that I hold jointly with a friend, my business partner. There's only about £2,500 in it, but it's our first business accoutn and I don't want my friend to suffer from any action the bank takes againt me.

So does anyone know whether LLoyds TSB (or any other bank) can or will close down an account I hold jointly?

Thanks for any and all advice.

    Margaret
    Hopefully growing older and wiser.....

well they did that to me i filed in court and they had untill 8th of may and gguess what they never even aknowledged it so on the the 9th i filed my judgement so now its a waiting game but i wont wit too long as they only give us 14 days notice then take money so i think we are entitled to do the same 11 days and counting (anyone no of any good baliffs or do i use the courts baliffs) LLOYDS IM COMING TO GET YOU

hi Hookys1 - had tea with my friend who works in solicitors and got the crack - basically we have won and there nothing they can do to overturn the verdict. they will try tricks of trade but we are entitled to money now and they have to whistle to our tune. she suggested the following - give them 1 week - then ring up there solicitors tell them we have judgement against them and want to know when we are being paid - she said wait to see what they say - no doubt will be x amount of weeks - she said tell them you want paying within x amount of days otherwise you will be calling in enforcement (i..e bailiffs) she is going to email me on monday to advise on the actual wording to use (i.e. legal jargon so they know we are NOT idiots and know the score) so i'll pm you it once i get it off her.

she also said she thinks banks are pulling the you know what, with the likes of us as we dont know legally whats what - which is true. She said they CAN NOT extend there terms and HAVE to whistle to our tune. I said there people who are waiting 3/4 plus weeks once they have judgement and she said NO WAY that must be cause they are allowing the banks to have that time.

so once i get it on monday i'll wing it over to you (she did advise me whole wording however after several vinos it seemed to escape me)

    Hi,

I am in the process of taking my bank to court(TSB), in the meantime, they are continuing to add more charges to my account, Can I reclaim these charges? If so how?

You can add charges to your claim up until the MCOL stage. If you have gone past that stage you can also ask that they take into account any new charges in any offer they might make you.
