sent the below email to my friend (who works at solicitors) as ive been getting stressed reading various things on various pages ref - what happens after getting judgement

    i said -
think im in for a right on with Lloyds TSB - theres people online who had judgement issued over 3 weeks ago and have heard nothing from banks solicitors. also people saying lloyds are applying to have it "set aside" for 30 days!!

its soooo confusing scared incase i havent won and they get everything cancelled out.

    She replied
THEY CAN NOT GET IT CANCELLED OUT - do not listen to anybody they may not be in the know

Now you have judgement they need your permission to do anything - if they don't pay within the timescales allowed then you are able to enforce against them.

    Don't worry

***feel bit better now - thought once i got to this stage the stress would be over - how wrong am i please****

Chill, you are home and dry, its us poor b*******s that still have to wait.

Enjoy the money when you get it.

I had a letter from them yesterday stating that they had passed it onto their solicitors and there was no more that they could do for me.

i know its easy to say chill out but when you have never been lucky in life you still expect the worse to happen, how long do we give lloyds to pay up they technally tell us 14 days before they take it out so how long do we give them cus if they dont pay imsending in baliffs for 55 quid that seems worth it specially as you then get that back , would be great to have baliffs on my side for once

    Hi,

I'm new to this, and have read through alot of the posts put on here. I've followed all of the advice, and finally went to the small claims court via the link on this website. They acknowledged yesterday, and it says they have 28 days to defend. Does this mean that they have 28 days from yesterday, or 28 days from when I first out the claim in?

Am a bit confused, and also worried that I won't be able to get online to keep checking as I'm due to give birth in 9 days!

    please help

    Emma:confused:

know what ya mean. anyway lets be positive we ARE going to get our money like everybody else is :-))

Did you go through moneyclaim? what date was judgement issued again? moneyclaim say to give them 1 week see if you hear fromo them, if you dont then ring up moneyclaim and they will advise of next step i.e. enforcement.

    Hi Emmajayne

1stly good luck on your forthcoming birth.

2ndly - how you work out the time is- date you issued the claim online e.g. 1st May - you add 5 days onto that for it to be deemed to be served - therefore 6th May - its then 28 days from that date (NOT acknowledged date)

Thats what I thought, but didn't want to get it wrong and mess up the whole thing. Can't believe how difficult it is to

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I don't have to actually go to court!
