Thanks for that my claim was for £4600, this on one account I haven't looked at another account I had yet. I have also just printed out my wifes statements today and they owe her £600 which I'm now determined to claim. If they had been sensible and settled mine then I wouldn't have bothered with the others.

exactly - its soooo much money

mines for £3400 (just under) and it will total change my life - sounds extreme but i went to Oz, thailand and hong kong for xmas, new year and all of jan 2003-2004 and never saved up for it - have a really nice cool boss who ive worked for since i left school and im 33 now - so when i was away i ended up getting a whole months advance on my salary - therefore ive never been able to catch up ever so for 3 and half years everytime i want money i haev to "borrow" it from salary as i dont get paid at end of each month - so you can imagine how i feel at eventually being able to get back in a place where i get paid each month instead of having to borrow a month ahead - can hardly contain myself - eeeee man sounds like im giving a sob story but the excitement is v v v high lol

if i was you i'd start on your other claim (s) straight away - you know now the long winded process of these t*ats so get on the case asap

so far i am claiming £1393.50

i received a letter originally with the fob off, then i received a letter a few weeks ago offering £750 which i have since received

where do i stand now reclaiming the rest of the balance?

i have today received all my copy statements!!!

do i send them a further letter or send straight into court?

this £750 has thrown me somewhat and i would appreciate some help

    thanks

shall i send straight to court now?

also the £750 is not stipulated against an actual account, as i am claiming for 2 accounts, does this make a difference?

Hey Sharon really pleased it looks like you are going the easier route well done girl.
I have two claims going both started 21st Jan so I'm getting a bit !!!!!! off now!
Claims are only for £170 and £800 both went to MCOL both acknowledged and both defended and transfered to local court. Feel I'm in limbo :-(
  • Hi not sure if this is the right place for this but i have recently gone through the process of reclaiming my bank charges from lloyds for charges spanning the past 6 years claiming an amount of £1166.50 or £1574.40 inc interest via the online interest calculator some of the charges we're for amounts totaling £110 for a single returned direct debit (2001) charge rate, anyway i have today received a letter from them quite quickly after sending the (threaten with court proceedings ) stage letter and basically to cut it short they have said

"The office of fair trading has published new guidelines on Credit card default charges, We're still talking it through with them, but the important point is that the guidlines are about 'default' charges that people pay when they break an agreement with us. This doesn't apply to to YOUR charges as these were for dealing with your request to go over your agreed overdraft limit. They are not default charges because you haven't broken your agreement. They are our prices for the services we provide in these situations"

oh and they said i needed to send them £10.50 for the statement copies i would need but i assume this is not neccesary as i have all my statements dating back to January 2001 anyway

so my question is where do i go from here? any advice would be appreciated

your wasting your time writing to them - stick to your deadlines nobody elses - you have advised them if no payment then you will file court so thats what you do - no point in trying to reason or speak to anybody - they will take no notice, say theres nothing they can do (that is if you can get through to them)

Ltsb tend not to pay out without some form of court action

Job Done! Have just filed a claim online....... Just got to sit back and wait now......

Typical Lloyds letter ignore it and carry on, they are just trying to put you off. Stick to your time frame they know they can not win until one of the banks turns up in court.
  • Hi

I have received a court date for 25th May - and the letter from the court says I have to supply copies of all documentation to Lloyds solicitors and the court no later than 14 days before the court date. Only got the letter yesterday, so have had to quickly get everything together, copy it twice and send it off today recorded delivery so it gets there on time.

My advice is - get your papers in order and be ready to go!

Has anyone any advice/experience of what happens now? I really dont want to go to court, and am hoping it will be sorted out before hand?

Lloyds had until yesterday to acknowledge my claim, but ive heard nothing.
So I took my request for judgement straight to the court, I called first to make sure nothing was crossing in the post and was told that the court is running 5 days behind, so although i have handed in my request the bank may have already acknowledged and its just not on their system yet. So now i will just have to wait and see.

But at least the end seems to be in sight!
