they suggested i wait 1 week - as they send info to lloyds and i obviously get copy - then see what happens - no doubt it will be another long trauma trying to get money but they did say if all else fails i can legally send in baliffs :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -

A few months ago, I set in motion the reclaiming of bank charges from LTSB and followed the directions on this site - firstly, sending £10 and requesting all charge details. These were sent to me and I calculated that, interest included, I could claim just over £1500. So I went to the next step (step 3) and wrote to LTSB requesting that they paid me what I was owed. Shortly afterwards, I received a long winded letter basically saying that their charging system was fair and that I would not be refunded. So, I went to step 4, and wrote to them threatening court action. Today, I received another letter, which read exactly the same, to the word, as the last letter that they sent me, saying that their charging system was fair and that I would not be refunded.
I am in two minds as whether to write to them again and point out that my last letter was deadly serious about threatening court action, or just go to the small claims court. My gut instinct says to go to court, but what to others, especially those with experience of these matters, think?

I have put the first, second and now the third letter (threatening court action) in the post box at our local branch though each one has just been addressed to Lloyds TSB and nothing else.
We put the last one in on Bank Holiday Monday, and I am fretting something rotten about the next step - and the court bundle. Sounds like it needs to be quite a few documents and all we have is the list of charges and copies of the letters sent to the bank and received from them.
Am dreading the next step.I'm stressed enough over this - please don't add to it.:eek:0 -

your wasting your time writing to them - stick to your deadlines nobody elses - you have advised them if no payment then you will file court so thats what you do - no point in trying to reason or speak to anybody - they will take no notice, say theres nothing they can do (that is if you can get through to them)
Ltsb tend not to pay out without some form of court action0 -

Hi
I put the head office address and it seems to have been processed OK.
Mind you, still waiting - they acknowledge at the last minute and defended at the 11th hour too. Waiting for local court date now.
I think a few people are taking through the local courts in the 1st place - seems it might be slightly quicker process.LBM 22nd February 2007 - Amount in debt £72,242.23:confused: one month on  £63,900;) 2nd month 60,000.09

Am I right in thinking that if you go to court you will be there on the day with others who are doing the same procedure - a group booking so to speak???
Apparently when you get nearer to the court route its best to put the local bank's address as this is the one that the bailiffs will go to if it gets that far!!I'm stressed enough over this - please don't add to it.:eek:0
