Hi I sent a 'letter before action' (stating I would settle for a slightly lower amount) to LLoyds tsb, to their recovery centre, Andover. I haven't had a reply, now what? Do I go to MCOL? I can't really afford to do that until the end of the month. Does it matter if I leave if for a bit? Is there a time limit between actions?
    Thanks.

Oh also. If it does get to the MCOL stage. Can I recalculate the charges/interest, because the amount of interest (at 8%) will of changed from the date of my original letter to today (or to when I commence MCOL). Also they have charged me some more, so I will be adding them on.

PS. It's worth noting that LTSB do charges at least 1 month in arrears. For example; If you go O/D in February and in March and not in subsequent months you will get charged in April / May at least.

    cheers all
  • did the same to me. Complained to my branch and they refunded the £10 in cash. I had found my statements by then so didn't persue it. However they can only charge you once as it is their mistake.

    Best of luck

Thank you for that i started 16/03/07 so hopefully i hear something this week did you get offered court fee back from the bank. Not to happy about having to pay out £120 it feels like another bank charge:rolleyes:

If you win, which you will, Lloyds have to pay your court fee. This is added on top of your claim.

P.S I'm glad my success story has inspired you!!

Standard proceedure from Lloyds as you can read, yes keep going for the remaining amount.

Another hurdle overcome for you! Well done! I guess now you will have to wait until you get your judgement through the post! Or maybe lloyds will pay you before!!!!! Maybe they they have finally seen the light!!!
Im off to the court this morning to hand deliver my request for judgement.
    Fingers Crossed!!!
