I called Lloyds TSB today regarding a charge made to my account.
I was 21p over my overdraft limit in March and was then charged £30 on May 1st. The first time I called and after 10 minutes waiting eventually got through and told I needed to call a number of a centre which deals specifically with charges. The number was of no use and did not allow me to speak to an advisor. Again I called the helpline and again after 10 minutes waiting to get through to an advisor was told that charges run from the 2nd of a month to the 2nd of the following month. I was overdrawn on April 2nd by £90.21 (due to £90 charges) and told that was why I recieved the charge. I questioned the viability of running 2nd to the 2nd and not the 2nd to the 1st of the month, and which would include the second 2nd of each month twice and told that yes the charge would be charged again in June for being overdrawn on the 2nd of April. I was told that someone would call me back. As yet noone has called and I doubt they will.
I have already wrote to request a refund for previous charges. The 14 day limit of my second letter is up on Monday.
Hmm, I've been in the same situation a while back on my easter holidays form being a student. I was enquiring as to why i hadnt been informed of the impending charges realting to being 3pence OD' I spoke to 17!! different people in 7!! different departments, all but two confirmed that the letter had not been sent out regarding the charge, that they only take charges off if there had been a computer error. I pointed out the gaping hole in their argument but got absolutely no where. At the end of the day i trotted off to my local branch, which i had been to twice that morning an bumped off with non existent numbers of imaginary departments. I scheduled an appointment wit the branch manager but to no avail. To summarize there is no-one within Lloyds that will take off a charge or more importantly to me, take ownership of my enquiry. Absolutely disgusted by the way they treated me as a customer.0 -
haven't looked through this thread - far too many!!!!
i sent a ltr to lloyds tsb on 29th march obo my ptnr rqstng either statements/list of charges for past 6 yrs, along with a chq for £10. the chq hasn't been cashed yet. does the 40 days count weekends or is it just working days?? either way the 40 days is pretty much up now or at least in the next week. what should i/we do next - write again, stop the chq and send another one.... i don't know!!!! ptnr says he's not bothered about the charges, but i know there has been a hell of a lot more than he realises and it probably adds up to a fair amount. and anyway it's the principle0 -
it includes weekends LOL and you are right to claim ! i would call into your branch if you have not had them in the 40day time limit ! and inform them you are going to report them to the information commisioner ! Good luck.x0

Amount claimed: £3200.00
Hi, can anyone give me some advice? I filed a claim online for TSB for £3,200, they have now filed a defence and i am waiting for a hearing date. Thing is, on Friday i received a letter dated 23rd April from the TSB replying to my 7-day threatening Court action letter, which i sent at the beginning of March!!!! - hence the court claim, and they offered me a measley 750.00 as a gesture of goodwill and said that they would credit it to my account within 7-10 working days. I have just checked my account and they have put it in  without me even accepting it or anything. SUrely they cant do that in the middle of a court claim without me officially accepting it?
I dont know what to do now, will it affect my claim? I am definitely not accepting that after taking it all to Court.
Please help0 -

That has happened to quite a few people claimimg from lloyds. You just carry on. Send them a letter saying thanks, you will accept as part payment and look forward to receiving the outstanding amount through the courts.0 -

Lloyds Tsb
Amount Claiming: £2224.23(includes interest) + Court costs
Received AQ form last week and I have until 14th May to return it with £100 fee. Not sure what to put in the experts and witnesses section and should I put anything in other info sectioncould anyone please give me some advice on this?
I am going to wait til last minute return it as I'm hoping that they may pay up before, don't really want to fork out another £100 if I can help it!
My partner had success with HSBC without going to court he claimed back £1252 :rotfl: after sending the 1st 2 letters and giving cust service a bit of hassle. Why do Lloyds TSB make it so hard as I'm sure they will pay out in the end.:mad:0 -
Have just received letter from mcol saying Lloyds have entered a defence. I am claiming for £1600 incl interest. Lloyds seem to be waiting until the last moment to crack but its so scary. I have nearly given up so many times. I am worried that if i go to court will i have to pay their court fees.. Can't afford to do that at all. Does anyone have any advice about that?0
