got a letter today stating the charges that I wanted refunding were not charges but for a service they had provided any advice
do you have a gold card? if so they charge upto £10 a month for this "service" - think you get "free" road cover, overdraft etc
thats only thing i can think of - otherwise ring your bank or call in and ask what they are0 -
yep sharons right even if they have defended it ain't over by a long shot, lloyds defended my claim over a month ago which i have recieved (they said i was too vague and embaressing) as i've said before that maybe true but they haven't met me YET. but still haven't got a court date and i live in a sleepy village in norfolk, how busy can Norwich court be!!!!!Jen0

Hi, put this in the wrong thread earlier!!
Wrote my first letter to Lloyds TSB way back in september so was horrified when I got a court dtae of 29th June!
But luckily (so it seems) I got a letter from Setchiari Clark & Mitchell (Lloyds solicitors) offering me full and final payment on 13/4. All I had to do was sign it and send it back (no later than 19/4) and they would credit the amount (£1400) to my account.
They would have recieved my signed letter on the 16/4, but three weeks on I have still not recieved any money. I have been checking my account daily, and have called the solicitors office at least three times a week to be met witht eh same response - "As we have such a high volume of claims to process we cannot give you an exact time when you will recieve the money but it should only take 7 - 10 days after your claim is processd".
Its well over 10 days now, is anyone else in this situation?
I wish LOLMel :heartpuls0 -
Hi Guys,
Been looking at this site for a while now and can't believe what the banks have been getting away with! My in-laws have just succeeded in £2000 back from Barclays which has motivated me to give it a go with Lloyds TSB. Am a little nervous as they seem to be one of the more stubborn ones, but when I worked it out, with interest they owe me just over £3000 so here we go. Will let you know how I get on and I'm bound to need some advice over the coming weeks.
Cheers

Just received a reply from Yorkshire Bank stating that my charges I am claiming are for overdrawn charges so they will offer me no compensation!
Are they trying to get away from the claim or are they in the right...?
Would appreciate any advice or if anyone else has been told this.

and welcome to the lloyds thread!! its full of fun and games on here, feel free to join in with out daily winging about them once you get started with your claim - believe me it will help you when you need it which will be from the day you post your first letter to them :rolleyes:0 -
just checked moneyclaim and theyve acknowledged  not defended yet but still, it gives them more time and i was kind of hoping i'd get lost in the system what with so many people getting to the claim stage.
not very convenient as currently expecting baby which is already 5 days late but i think my hormones are fuelling my hate for lloiyds and stopping me giving up!0 -
Has anyone had sucess with LloydsTSB. I have just sent off for a statement of my charges under the data protection act. I would like to know who has managed to get their charges back from Lloyds?
Hi, im new on this site & ive just payed off my daughters overdraft charges of 170 pounds which she let accumulate over a period of time. The first amount was 19 pounds sterling, which she never told me about & let it go for months before letting me know, then she dropped the "BOMBSHELL" that she owed the bank 170 pounds sterling, sorry keyboard naff, got no "pound sign" I was just wondering if i stand any chance of getting any of the money ive payed out today "BACK".I know this might not be alot of money to some people, but if its all the savings you have, its a lot, beleive me.. Yours a worried mum.0 -
