and another thing they gave me 14 days notice when they took £210 out of my account so why do they need 40 days to put it in someones

exactly - totally agree its a disgrace and you cant stop them from taking out the "unlawful" charges either.

eeeeee its making me so angry - the sheer cheek of "them" - hope there bubble bursts soon and something gets done about the way they are abusing court system and trying to do scare tactics on people

firstly well done in getting any kind of money out of lloyds (assuming you went through moneyclaim?)

im not sure on this one - why dont you try ringing local branch? or the obusman (or what ever there called) for advise on how to handle it

at end of day its not your fault they have a ton of claims

Yeah went through moneyclaim online, are Lloyds bad getting money back then? Do you think the response I am getting from there solicitors is just to throw me off a bit?
Also do you think ringing the branch will actually help?
    Thanks for your help!:T

i think anything is worth a try - branch may then just refer you back to solicitors however it is THERE branch where you bank so it'll be them refunding the money i would think. I'd actually go in with a copy of the letter your received and ask them to sort it while you wait. Theory is that they only have to ring solicitor confirm they received letter and then they can refund cash in. its all worth trying

lloyds are a nightmare - just read your way around this thread - when did you issue with moneyclaim? i.e. how long from issuing with them to getting that letter?

seems the letter your got and the wait time is nothing new for them - like Jen1972 said earlier they give us 14 days notice when they are about to take out bank charges yet make us fight and wait months for any month they owe us - how does that work eh

thought it may do - hope theres not many geordies claiming then and the toon court is free!! lol

Aye its not been mentioned - i think lloyds dont know what the heck they are doing - solicitor my acknowledgement got sent to was in Brighton (Satchhi blah blah or sumit) but through reading other thread they are also now using another firm and this firm seem to be a little more on the ball (probably only for the first few weeks till they get overun with claims - if the damn place would just settle them then maybe they would know what each other is doing)

    whats your situ at mo

I filed my claim on Saturday so just playing the waiting game, but I'm going all the way. Why can't they do as other banks are..

JUST SCROLLED THROUGH the last 116 posts in "sucess stories" to get some motivation - however wish i hadnt bothered :rotfl:

this is what i found in last week (ie.116 sucess stories)
    1 - claim back of £35
1 - win of £750 (wanted £1200 accepted £750 - the once standard lloyds bull)
1 - £1500 win through default (never defended in time)
1 - someone closed there account owing lloyds £1000 and managed to get it wrote off as part of bank charges thingy
    1 - £950 win

now seems to be a theme here - anything under a grand is fine for them (apart from the default one)

loads with barclays, halifax and nat west - all of which sort of paid up without too much hassles (i.e. of the lloyds variety)

maybe people are too physically exhausted to post on here once they have a decent win

Well I have sent the statements, the (I am not happy with your response you have 14 days to respond), a copy of there PAP letter just 10 minutes ago.

Hopefully they will see the just over a £1000 as a mere blip.
Truth be told I'm rather a happy fellow deep down...and I mean really deep down.

Since my original post i have sent the LBA letter and after a phonecall about my accounts i then recieved a letter from those lovely people at Andover. The letter included something i've not seen before:

"We're still talking it through with the OFT, but the important thing is that the guidelines for reclaiming are about 'default' charges that people pay when they break an agreememnt with us. This doesn't apply to your charges as these were for dealing with your request to go over your agreed overdraft limit (erm, i dont even have an overdraft) by paying direct debits. They are not default charges because you haven't broken your agreement. They are our prices for the service we provide in these situations"

Now, as im disappointed at their lack of reimbursing me, i'm gonna complete my MCOL claim which i set up weeks ago. I'm claiming for 2 accounts and sent my letters to Lloyds in two seperate packs, one for each account. My complaint reference number is the same for both accounts, so what do i put in the amount i'm claiming? Its £2600 for both accounts, also do i include the £200 they've charged to my account this month when i enter the final figure on MCOL or do Lloyds automatically pay that too?

Sorry to ramble on. Help up to date much appreciated.

Also, what do i put in the particulars box in MCOL? Is there not a templated guide for people who arent very literate? I think it puts people off filling it in and claiming. Also do i include the charges recently applied to my account too or will Lloyds reimburse those too? Total im claiming for is £2600 but there's another £195 of charges on my account since the last letter. Do i include that too?
    LBM -
    DFW - January 2010 = £22,950
    DFD - July 2017 = £0
