Still no defence (just been on MCOL) - however assuming they may wait until Monday now - not sure whether its Mon or Tue (it was deemed served on the 10th april - i filed on the 5th) so its 28 days from the 10th? so is that mon night or tues night? anyone know?

dont know why im bothereing as they WILL file a defence im sure of that

anyway another reason bar update was just read a thread on here and someone has just got there court date through (didnt say which bank) and its for SEPTEMBER!!!! for crying out loud - id this senario potentially gonna drag on this long please? or does it depend on which court your at (i,e. how busy they are)
  • I have claimed on a closed platinum credit card, and won by default as claim was not defended.

They are now saying that they will credit my closed account with the monies within 40 days (I presume they mean on day 40). Only after that date can the monies then be paid to me by cheque or credited to my bank account which will take a further few days.

Seems to be very serious delay tactics as well as a bit odd - any advice folks?

    Moam
Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

ALL SOUNDS A bit suss to me and like you say a delaying tactic - its hardly like they have to get the money together is it?!?!?

I would post this as a new thread rather than on this thread and im sure some one will advise.

you could try contacting the Ombudsman or what ever it/he lol is called.

they could advise and possible push it forward

good news ref winning by default as court dates are upto 5 months away!!

well if they missed yours maybe i'll get lucky too - fingers crossed

Yeah thats odd. I agree with the advise missc has given. I do suspect however that they are just playing a game with you and that a polite but assertive phone call will do the trick. Banks can credit and debit accounts immedietly when it suits them

Well done - I have a closed Lloyds credit card which I will be claiming on after my success with my current account

Has anyone been offered the £750 recently or has LTSB stopped doing this. I haven't heard anyone one the last few pages of this thread mention this.

Regarding MissC question abuot court dates, I think this depends on the court which it goes too.

thought it may do - hope theres not many geordies claiming then and the toon court is free!! lol

Aye its not been mentioned - i think lloyds dont know what the heck they are doing - solicitor my acknowledgement got sent to was in Brighton (Satchhi blah blah or sumit) but through reading other thread they are also now using another firm and this firm seem to be a little more on the ball (probably only for the first few weeks till they get overun with claims - if the damn place would just settle them then maybe they would know what each other is doing)

    whats your situ at mo

    Morning Jen

Seems to me the only way to get a quick(ish) response (and when i say quick i mean 3-4months) from lloyds is to hope they forget about you and you can get a judgement - then after that its a hassle getting your money off them but at least you know its just about case closed.

this whole court senario is a mare - once lloyds put in a defence with me im gonna be on the blower every single day - its just not on this waste of courts time and fact courts are soo busy were the ones suffering (i.e. innocent party)
