I need to locate where I stuck the copies of the statements I kept then send it off with a copy of there Generic pap letter.

    Is this right?

  • Hi, I would like to know if anyone has received a copy of the banks defence as mine came in the post today so I am now getting quite worried that I may be the first person to lose their case against any bank, that would be just my luck!
  • does that mean they will all be heard at the same time? hopefully it wont get that far

With the promotion of claiming back owed charges here (mainly) and Martins TV appearances my wife a few weeks back popped into Lloyds TSB and they offered a service where the go back through your statments and find all charges for a £10 fee.

We did, we picked out those charges we can claim for unpaid DD's, Cheques, Overdraft charges (specific ones), and and the end of picking them from the charges it came to just over £1000 :j

    Today we recieved this letter.

Could any one advise us what to do...It reads like they have not seen our statements we sent back, and they mention we can pay £10 for the statements (which we have)

    Thank you

I received the same letter yesterday, ignore it and go on to the next stage - I did.

Just looking to see if anyone is the same position or been here previously.

Lloyds have filed their defence against me, and today I received the court letter outlining their full defence.

The thing is on the 'Notice of Transfer of Proceedings' covering letter they have crossed out the part about the allocation questionnaire being returned.

Does this mean I don't need to do anything at the moment? Do I just wait to hear the potential court hearing date???

    Thanks

Hi there, eventually i got through the copy of the statements listing all the charges since 2001. There are a few variations.... can anyone advise me what ones to claim back out of the following....O/Draft interest, O/Draft usage fee, Account charge, upaid D/D, unpaid S/O, unpaid cheque, and O/D excess fee?

What should i do next total the relevent charges up and then send a letter asking for them back? A lot of people have said go straight to the second letter template and skip the first?

    Thanks v. much

  • Hello everybody,i am in mid-flight of reclaiming my bank charges from lloyds tsb.Today they sent out this letter stating that the bank charges were lawful and blah blah blah...lets make the letter as complicated as possible ,so that i would`nt understand it and say `oh well thats it then`.In the meantime i had sent a letter off threatning to take them to court. My wife then phoned customer services to complain, they replied that they would respond to the letter by the 19th may,and to expect the letter a week later, whether or not they were going to defend it or not,but to go ahead and put a court complaint in,has anybody receieved an offer at this stage:mad:

Thanks for the replies everyone! I was a bit annoyed this morning when I first got that letter, but having sat and read through this entire thread since (all 98 pages!!) I'm 'happy' to know it's just a standard delaying tactic by Lloyds TSB.

I've already moved onto the next stage, sending them the letter threatening the court action so they've got fourteen days to respond to that.

    Thanks again!

It seems that its worse than the lottery. Some people do others dont. Llyods seem to be playing hard-ball. The reality is you have your timescale stick to it and you will be fine. I think it must be at the stage now where for a long while the banks haven't taken us seriously and didn't expect so many to reclaim their charges (banks are daft if they think we wouldn't) and so they have more to respond to that they can deal with.

My advice is simple. KEEP TO YOUR TIMESCALE

My bank ignored me for ages however I bet they didn't ignore my summons falling on their doorstep haha
