Can any one help me here. I started the process last month of writing using the templates to LLoyds TSb asking for my charges to be refunded. I wrote twice as I had heard nothing. The bank replied with statements going back to Sept 2001 and when I added up the charges it amounted to nearly £9000!!!
Yesterday I sent a letter back reiterateing my position and threatening court action, today the bank sent me a long winded letter saying that the charges were fair and they were sorry I was unhappy about this!!! I ave tried using the telephone number at their Reocvery Centtre in Andover and all I get is automated replies saying they are very busy! (I wonder why)?? They also ad insult to injury by charging me £10 for supplying the statements. It also says in the letter that they will send details of the Financial Ombudsman if we cannot come to an agreement! Has any one suffered this type of abuse from the bank or is it just me???
Any ideas or help would be appreciated!

Seriously dont be put off - we've all been there, recived that letter and now at the court stage - lloyds do not listen without going through courts and even then they make it as hard as posible for us.
i would say go straight to the court - you wont be able to reason with them on phone for 9 grand - plus i'd ask around how you can claim his as i know max claim through moneyclaim online is 5 grand so you may have to split claim in 2 - put a new thread on asking how you go about claiming 9 grand at court stage0 -
There is someone earlier in this thread but tried to find it again and failed, they said that LTSB had payed out just before they should have defended.
I'm also becoming sad watching this thread each day..
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: hilarious - it is MY LIFE
Maybe that thread was just a hoax posted by lloyds themselves!!
luckily my hubby works lates and doesnt get in until 8.30pm so i get to use the computer as i get in at 6pm lol
also seem to do less and less work at work each day as i seem to spend it logging in and out of this site, moneyclaim and CAG
i'll probably be gutted once they pay out and i have no further reason to log on (then again........ ha ha)0 -
I have also complained to watchdog stating that I think LTSB are misusing the courts system, and they appear to be the worst bank to refund the charges.
My email to them felt like a full novel so I haven't put it all on this thread.
Has anyone else but MISSC done the same..0 -
think everyone from the LLoyds thread should email watchdog - if they get enough of the same chances of them looking into it futher would be higher (i would think) so come on everyone get on bbc web page and email watchdog, you just never know.0

in fact think it deserves a larger font and nicer colour:rotfl:

Lloyds acknowledged claim yesterday, today letter came from their solicitors (Foot Anstey) asking to send them a breakdown of charges withing 7 days as they do not hold them, otherwise the bank would make an application to strike out the claim. I know we have to comply and send the stuff although why they can't simply ask Lloyds is beyond me but whatever.
Question: Is there a template letter for this? Do you just say "here is the info" or can you elaborate? I was thinking of the following so please tell me whether you think I should write that or go with something more "neutral":
Dear Ms ....
I am happy to provide you with the information requested in your letter dated 30 April but note with surprise that your client, Lloyds TSB Bank plc, could not provide you with that information, as I have repeatedly (on three occasions) sent this information to them, last in a letter dated 3 April 2007.
I wish it to be noted that I have made a reasonable effort to settle this matter before filing a claim and that I am being very cooperative by providing you with information that has already been supplied, and within the timeframe set by you. Therefore, I would like to ask you not to delay this case any longer than necessary.
You can have this claim cancelled at any time by sending me a cheque for the total claim sum of £xxx.xx, made payable to xxx.
Yours sincerelyReclaimed thanks to this site:
£175 Abbey Mortgage Repayment Fee, £170.03 Capital One Bank Charges £418.07 Lloyds TSB Bank Charges, £2,671.55 Mis-sold Endowment Policy, all for OH0 -

Received court documents for my daughters claim today... getting scary!!!
Original claim for her £170 if I pay court fees etc the claim doubles... how can that be good for Lloyds especially when they have to pay solicitors etc!!0 -
I'm having to claim at MCOL for £1461.75 - and it looks like I have to pay £120 up front?!?! I haven't got that kind of cash!0

With regard to the above case, I enclose a copy of my Allocation Questionnaire, which includes a request for directions, also enclosed, to be ordered requesting full disclosure within 14 days. I have submitted these documents to Huddersfield County Court today.
At present the claim stands at £530 which includes the initial claim and the court fees.
The reason for this contact is to give your client another chance to settle before additional costs are added to the claim and more of the court systems time is wasted. As I am a member of the Consumer Action Group, I do not know of any cases that you have actually been to court to defend.
I will be including this letter in my evidence to show that I have tried to communicate to negotiate an early settlement, and to show the judge that I believe the way you are handling these cases to be ‘An abuse of the court system process’
If you wish to contact me to arrange a settlement please contact me on xxxxxxxxx to do so.
Yours Faithfully0 -
I received my 3rd letter from lloyds today!
1st letter- we have 4-8 weeks to look into it
2nd letter- we need another 4 weeks!
3rd letter- we have looked into this and charges are fair as we tell you about them before we plunder your account ( ha! )
We are not giving you any money! ( ha! )
Not worried as i had already started court process before i received the 2nd letter and lloyds have until 8th May to acknowedge it.
