thanks for the info,
I have now written to YOB and have given them 7 days to respond or I will report them to the commissioner. I have read on here that that usually does the trick.

Have now taken YB to court for the Visa Card fees, and have written final letter to YB regarding £4,500 owed. Have said I will accept a 'Without prejudice' offer of £4,000. Based on Capital One's reaction - I'm not expecting them to accept this. Roll on next weekend! :rotfl::j Capital One: Claimed back £267.48 interest Received back EVERYTHING
Yorkshire Bank Visa: Claiming £163.84 Received back EVERYTHING
Yorkshire Bank Current Account: £4500 - Recieved back everything.
Money saved so far: £100+ on train tickets; £100+ on a washing machine; £52 on travel insurance. £20 a month on shopping delivery; £100 on car insurance...
...Thanks Martin! You deserve a Knighthood! :money:0 -

Hi, hope someone can help. Basically I have sent off my statements to Lloyds Tsb and did not receive any reply so I sent off a letter threatning court action if my charges were not reimbursed. I have received a long winded letter today which basically reads that their charges for going overdrawn are clear for all customers to see. Am I right that I can claim overdraft excess fee's?
I am so tired from working all day and also have to work tonight that I am getting confused now. I guess they are trying to fob me off with the usual c**p? Tsb have around 3 working days left before I can follow through with court action. Do I take court action? I'm only claiming around £300..........God why does everything have to be a battle.
Anyway any reassurance and help will be greatly appreciated.Friendship is like peeing on yourself: everyone can see it, but only you get the warm feeling that it brings

Standard letter from Lloyds! I'll pop your post into the Lloyds thread where you'll find plenty of people receiving the same letter who have started court action.0

Can any one help me here. I started the process last month of writing using the templates to LLoyds TSb asking for my charges to be refunded. I wrote twice as I had heard nothing. The bank replied with statements going back to Sept 2001 and when I added up the charges it amounted to nearly £9000!!!
Yesterday I sent a letter back reiterateing my position and threatening court action, today the bank sent me a long winded letter saying that the charges were fair and they were sorry I was unhappy about this!!! I ave tried using the telephone number at their Reocvery Centtre in Andover and all I get is automated replies saying they are very busy! (I wonder why)?? They also ad insult to injury by charging me £10 for supplying the statements. It also says in the letter that they will send details of the Financial Ombudsman if we cannot come to an agreement! Has any one suffered this type of abuse from the bank or is it just me???
Any ideas or help would be appreciated!

I called my branch in Poole today to check that they had received the letter threatening to pay up or I'll take them to court. The lady from Lloyds was extremely helpful, told me my application had been logged on my acccount and the letter sent off B'ham, she has put a note in her diary to chase it and call me back with progress by Friday - sounds promising but I'll keep you updated. In another conversation I had with a branch in Glasgow (that's where I live) the girl in Lloyds told me the status of my claim (on way to B'ham) and she isn't really allowed to discuss "reclaiming" of charges but told me to keep going and the matter will be settled. I now feel confident in my claim - onwards and upwards............keep on going and don't let them grind you down. I'm just thinking of what bills I can pay off and how my quality of life will be so much better when all this is settled.:T
keep us all updated though will be good to see how it spans out by going down route of chasing up claim etc0 -
Would love to hear from any of the lucky ones who lloyds pay straight away :rotfl:
may give us all some hope - if they exist
There is someone earlier in this thread but tried to find it again and failed, they said that LTSB had payed out just before they should have defended.
I'm also becoming sad watching this thread each day..0
