    Hi Guys,
Been looking at this site for a while now and can't believe what the banks have been getting away with! My in-laws have just succeeded in £2000 back from Barclays which has motivated me to give it a go with Lloyds TSB. Am a little nervous as they seem to be one of the more stubborn ones, but when I worked it out, with interest they owe me just over £3000 so here we go. Will let you know how I get on and I'm bound to need some advice over the coming weeks.

    Cheers

Hi everyone, Nice to meet you

    Help need if pos

Just going through a claim for someone and need abit of advice on what I can claim, Also, I sent off for my charges using Martins template and got the sheets back today. What is the likeyhood on them missing/fiddling afew charges out cos according to this, there wasn't one single unlawful charge from 2001-end2003 which im pretty sure there was.

Heres one part of the charges sheet and would be gratefull if someone can give me advice on what I can claim because im unsure on the O/D excess fee's:

    1/4/05 UNPAID D/D 64.00DR
    1/4/05 ACCOUNT CHARGE 10.00DR
    3/5/05 O/DRAFT INTEREST 7.48DR
    3/5/05 O/DRAFT EXCESS 25.00DR
    FEE
    3/5/05 UNPAID D/D 320.00DR
    3/5/05 ACCOUNT CHARGE 10.00DR
    1/6/05 O/DRAFT INTEREST 4.35DR
    1/6/05 O/DRAFT EXCESS 25.00DR
    FEE
    1/6/05 UNPAID D/D 64.00DR
    1/6/05 ACCOUNT CHARGE 10.00DR

Now, As you can see theres an unpaid d/d charge of £320 which seems abit much for a charge. It cant be a typo can it? seen as its all done by computer unless somethings has been altared??

    Any advice is welcome

    Thanks in advanced

    Tony

It won't be a typo, I have higher than this for one month, but I'm claiming this back now, filing MCOL today.

You can reclaim all of those except Account charge and overdraft interest.
As for the £320 charge in 2005 Lloyds charge for a returned D/D was £32. a time and most companies will represent a D/D if it is returned the 1st time so this charge is probably for 10 unpaid D/Debits. As lloyds take all the charges from one month all on the same day.

A few years ago on my statements i had a similar charge
    09/05/2005 UNPAID D/D £224.00
    And that was no mistake!
So i would assume your charge is the same, i would total it in with your charges as lloyds will soon point it out if it did happen to be a mistake.

    Good Luck
  • Hi All, some advice please.......

I have put in a claim for unfair bank charges to Lloyds TSB, but have recieved a letter back from them saying that my overdraft of £331.00 is now in arrears and they have passed the account on to theie Collection Centre. They want the payment immediately, if not charges will be applied.

The initial charge will be £25 and will be followed by charges of £17.50.

What should I do, bearing in mind that I don't work as I have two young children, who are not of school age. My partner is on a low income

    Any advice please...

    Hi

I'm going through my fiancé’s bank charges and they have accumulated to £1804.69 which includes interest.

I've looked at her charges sheet and there is a charge every month of £7 and we don't know what this is for and we don't know if we can claim them back??

The sheet says 'type' and CHG appears and under 'description' account charge appears.

Can any one tell me what these charges are and if we can claim them back?

A few years back the charge was £5 and it has been raised to £7 since March 2005.

We would be grateful if you could help,

    Many thanks,

    Nik
