Why are you including your travel expenses and stationery?
  • I was offered £750.00 by lloyds tsb, I wrote to them saying that I would accept this as a part payment without prejudice, and told them also that I would still be going through the courts to claim the remainder which stands at £2730.53. I have looked on this website and found similar circumstances and just followed suit, I have given them 14 days in which to respond, if nothing is heard by then I will take it to court

Have I done the right thing!!!!!!!!!!!

not really - i wouldnt be claiming the pennys for a stamp or car mileage. Were lucky enough to be able to get back the money they took from us but to then try and complicate it i think may work against you.

best you go to home page on here and read through the step by step instructions - its the tried and tested formular and no matter how tempting it is to add your own touches, i'd say "why change something that currently works"

    just my opinion mind

Yeah pretty much, only thing i would have done differently was lowed the time scale for them to respond. may given them 7 or 10 days.

But apart from that everything is right - good luck with Lloyds im in process of claiming and at court stage - they are possibly the worst ones to try and get your money back off

    Hey Hey Everyone!!!!

I have officially and succesfully beaten LloydsTSB!!

It has taken me around 2 months but yesterday they received the order to pay me £840.

They never acknowledged my online claim, so I pressed on at about half midnight on each deadline and entered into judgement against them!!

The moral here is don't give up!!!

Stick closely to the time lines given, eg-14 days, NOT their 4 weeks!!

    Have faith!!

    You will win.

My partner, she just received £890 from Halifax as a "good will gesture" and when she was slow to cancel her online claim, she just received a letter saying she will get another £670 within 5 working days!!!! Thats her full amount back even when she was settling for just over half!!!!

C'mon Brothers and Sisters, stand with me, put your fist in the air and lets take back whats ours!!!!

Fighting the good fight, now, who's next?!!??!!!

Justin ___________BIG BIG THANKS TO MARTIN!! NOTHIN BUT LOVE FOR YA DUDE!!!!!!

    Congratulations

I will be filing MCOL this weekend after being ignored......

copy of the form through from the courts.

So i know obviously have the contact address tel and fax number of the solicitors dealing with it - is it worth ringing or writing and trying to get a settlement before it goes to "defending" or is it worth doing nothing and hoping they dont "defend" and i win through default.

    what would everyone recommend?

everyones thoughts would be gratefully received

    thanks everyone

I would wait for the 14 days thats what I will be doing....

    Good Luck...

Does anyone on here have the telephone number of the Copy Statement Unit, PO Box 139, 10 Swallow Street, Birmingham, BX1 1LT? I would really love to try and give them a call first to see if they have my letter.

    Can anyone help with this?

Dont know what to do. We claimed £3,000 offered £450 by Lloyds TSB saying it would be paid into account on 15 May. Wrote same day declining the offer but money was put in our account 26 April. Anyone had this and what happened.

Standard procedure from Lloyds to refund the "goodwill" offer immediately.

Although you have already written to decline the offer I would write again to say you have accepted it in part payment only and without prejudice but will be proceeding to court action for the remainder of your claim.
