After my post yesterday as to how to get the money back, I phoned the call centre and was told to go to the branch. Tomorrow will be fun0
-
Another update!
My Husband (it's a joint claim) has tried to phone all numbers he has for them and go into the branch, and no one has a clue what is going on, or how to get the money. Next step (we think) is to send a recorded delivery letter asking for the money, then baliffs! Anyone fancy a trip to the Hatfield Branch in a couple of weeks - should be worth it! (I know they'll probably/hopefully pay up before it gets to this, but I'm hoping in some way...)0 -
OK,folks.Today I got the normal " sorry you are unhappy with your acc charges" letter from lloyds.I can here you all now,Just send the I am taking you to court letter. But,here is the catch.About 2/3 of the way down the letter is a get out clause,I quote,"The office of fair trading has published new guidelines on credit card default charges. We're still talking it through with them, but the important point is that the guidelines are about default charges that people pay when they break an agreement with us.This does'nt apply to your charges as these were for dealing with your request to go over your overdraft limit. They are not default charges because you havent broken your agreement. These are the prices for the service we provide in these situations." To my knowleage my son never aked to go over his limit. He didnt want an overdraft in the beginning they just gave it to him so he used it,as most 18 year old kids will. Are we scuppered.0

Radio 01, I got the same letter yesterday from LLoydstsb. I was about to give up but I know that the charges I paid were default charges not an agreed overdraft. I had gone over my agreed overdraft by £12. I have charges of about £120 to reclaim, is it worth the hassle still? I could really do with the money.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527
'I had a black dog, his name was depression".0 -
I would go for it.I'm just worried that by saying that lloyds will get out of it.I dont want to make a fool of myself and land up with court charges or something.I've got to be pretty sure before I take the next step.0

This is a standard response from Llloyds TSB and the paragraph means nothing.
Continue with the claim.I am a Travel Agent My company’s ATOL/ABTA numbers are E7760/3970. MSE doesn't check my status as a Travel Agent, so you need to take my word for it. Atol numbers can be checked with the Civil Aviation Authority. This signature is here as I follow MSE's Travel Agent Code of Conduct.0 -
I everyone
you have inspired me to continue and to have a go at reclaiming my bank charges from this god awful bank. I have banked with them for over 20 years and to be truthful i have always praised them up until recent years. 7 years ago returned to education and to live the life of a student but with 3 children and a self employed husband things got sticky over the years but they were always there encouraging me to take loan after loan and credit card after credit card out plus extended overdraft, we managed to keep up with payments but with bank charges after bank charges incurred our debts just spirraled out of control with NO BLOODY HELP WHATS SO EVER!!!!!!! just bloody court action. Now i have a full time teaching job i just cant get them off my back with these bloody bank charges, its those that keep making me overdrawn and when i phone for help which they ask for in their letters they say they cant WHAT MORE CAN I DO???????
So i sent my request for the bank statements on the 3rd of April and have heard nothing, do they make you wait the full 40 days?????
SO SORRY for the moan but it has helped me loads

Hi maggie13,
 Your rant echoes exactly what my husband and I went through after the birth of our son. He wasn't planned and there was an 11 and 15 year age difference between him and our other children. I suddenly went from full time employment to practically nothing. And what did lloyds tsb do to help when we tried to contact them about the difficulties we had. Big fat nothing. I hate them. The only good thing is that the older children know how to manage their money, and I touch wood that they will never rely on these nasty banks.
There, thats better
There thats better0 -
Hey Hey Everyone!!!!
I have officially and succesfully beaten LloydsTSB!!
It has taken me around 2 months but yesterday they received the order to pay me £840.
They never acknowledged my online claim, so I pressed on at about half midnight on each deadline and entered into judgement against them!!
The moral here is don't give up!!!
Stick closely to the time lines given, eg-14 days, NOT their 4 weeks!!
Have faith!!
You will win.
My partner, she just received £890 from Halifax as a "good will gesture" and when she was slow to cancel her online claim, she just received a letter saying she will get another £670 within 5 working days!!!! Thats her full amount back even when she was settling for just over half!!!!
C'mon Brothers and Sisters, stand with me, put your fist in the air and lets take back whats ours!!!!
Fighting the good fight, now, who's next?!!??!!!
Justin ___________BIG BIG THANKS TO MARTIN!! NOTHIN BUT LOVE FOR YA DUDE!!!!!!0 -
