could anyone help me, im trying to claim £700 from lloyds, it all started with a letter on the 28th march saying sorry to hear about your complaint and it will take 8 weeks to get a decision. Then i got a letter saying its been 4 weeks and they have not been able to reach a decision and its going to take another 4 weeks?! this letter is dated 19th april? am i ever going to get my money? does it normally take this long? i know some people who have been trying to claim back a lot lot more than me and they seem to get result? the letter i sent them in the first place stated i wanted my money within 14 days and they turn around and say they have a right to take upto 8 weeks?
is there anyway i can speed this up?
any advice please?0 -
the bank must have downgraded your account from a student and as i work at lloyds i know for a fact that they will know what branch and what individual did this. If you can get that information it will be that departments responsibility for this !!!! up and if u tell them that the account should have been interest free for the entire time nd the charges are because of that. if you came into my branch and said that, we would forward it on to whoever messed it up.0

in the last six years i have had six credit cards and 3 bank accounts some of which are now closed, unfortunately i dont have any paperwork for them or account numbers, im worried they wont know who i am. what the best form of attack0 -
copy of the form through from the courts.
So i know obviously have the contact address tel and fax number of the solicitors dealing with it - is it worth ringing or writing and trying to get a settlement before it goes to "defending" or is it worth doing nothing and hoping they dont "defend" and i win through default.
what would everyone recommend?
everyones thoughts would be gratefully received
thanks everyone0 -

I'm in the same boat, the banks (2 different Lloyds banks) haven'y even acknowleged my letters. I got my charges off the internet. Can I skip the letter saying I'm going to take them to court and just file my claims with the court?Mel :heartpuls0 -
Verdci i to have spent just nearly 3 hours trawling my statements on-line and found they owe me £2,570 just in D/D and S/O charges.
Can anyone tell me if i can claim the overdraft excess charges back aswell
Also can i just go to letter 2 now i have all the information myself??????0 -

I wrote to Lloyds TSB at the beginning of March with letter 1. They sent stuff back, but not the full six years. I think they sent me stuff going back to Sept 2001. Their letter suggested that if I required information previous to that date then to send their letter back and request my archive information. I did this on the same day as I received their initial response. Their letter isn't even dated. From sending my original request giving them 40 days, tomorrow is the deadline. I obviously need to write to them again, enclosing a copy of the last letter I sent to them. What I wanted to know is - Does anyone on here have the telephone number of the Copy Statement Unit, PO Box 139, 10 Swallow Street, Birmingham, BX1 1LT? I would really love to try and give them a call first to see if they have my letter.
I know everyone is having problems with these big banks and it all takes time. I'm willing to roll along with them. I have my form for the information commissioner ready to send if they don't comply with the data protection act.0
