  • Just like to say I use dthis website and the Consumer Action Group website to claim bank approx £3500 back and got it all back. First £750 then I went ahead with the allocation questionnaire and aksed for directions which meand I asked the court to give directions that I file all my papaers relating to the cliam and follwoing that thebank are to do the smae and explain exactly how they formulate their charges and if they failed to do that within 14 days of me filing my bits then the court should find in my favour. This i believe pushed them to payign out. I also got around the trick I have heard Lloyds do of transferring the case to an incoveneient place by making the court aware in the AQ that I have a family and because of childcare I would like teh case to be heard locally. By theway I also claimed back the interest charged on the charges. I used teh helpful calculator and copied and pasted it on Excel. Dont be scared it can be intimdating but just go for it. sorry for typos

This is the standard reply that every claimant gets from the Lloyds.

Don't let it bother you - carry on with the claim.

The addresses you need are in the first posts in the Reclaim Help Thread which is linked in my signature. One cheque and one letter for all accounts will do but please read the above posts about accessing your information online..

I am stuck though. I wondered if someone could tell me if I should be reclaiming the charge for the Select account, which, for seven pounds per month (sorry - my pound sign key isn't working for some reason!) gives me a few bonuses - credit card protection and AA Breakdown Cover.

I chose to pay for a Select Account (bit steep for what you actually get!) so I presume the monthly charges for the benefit of having those perks isn't refundable -so when I am adding up the charges I don't include those monthly Select Account ones? (7x12 = 84 pounds a year.)

LloydsTSB are entitled to keep that - yes?

Yes, this is a service fee. Not a default fee.
