Hi I'm also claiming charges from Tsb started claim end of January 07, still going to date!!!! I was also given £750 as a 'Gesture of Goodwill' and told that was final response. I then proceeded with court claim and stated not accepting that amount as Full and Final settlement but would as part payment. They then acknowledged my claim on line and then about two weeks later put in their defence with a notice of Transfer of proceedings but with my claim an 'Allocation Questionare' was not requested that part was crossed out??? I haven't heard anything since???? Have you tried to contact their soliciters or tsb about it? Have the courts confirmed the amount they have agreed to pay you??? Sorry can't be of great help but it seems that £750 is a standard amount Llyods Tsb are paying out!!!0

Hi,
A few weeks ago now i sent my bank (Yorkshire Bank), the template letter requesting a listing of the last six years bank charges accompanied with a ten pound cheque. Today i received a reply from them saying..........
"Within the terms of the Data Protection Act 1998 we have 40 days to in which to provide you with the information we hold. The end of this time period has almost been reached, however, due to the high volume of requests we have recieved in relation to this high profile issue, i regret that we are not yet able to provide you with the information requested.
whilst you are within your rights to refer this matter to the information commissioner at the end of the 40 day period, i confirm that we shall provide you with the information as soon as we possibly can."
Is this a normal for the bank to do, if so, how long can i leave it before i can get on their backs again.
i am very appreciative of your replies on this query.

Yes, they are delaying, but it's not your problem. Give them the 40 days and then file a complaint if they haven't complied.0 -
Hi and thanks Suz for your reply,I am still awaiting for my local court to give me a court date, the £750 offer came a day before the soliciters decided to settle out of court so it just shows the bank and their soliciters are not communicating. My problem is I didnt want to accept the £750 from the bank but it was just thrust into my account, I have contacted the soliciters but they had all gone home so hopefully they will contact me tomorrow , I am just a little worried that now the money is in my account does it mean I have accepted this amount and no further payment will be made.0

Hi ,
I sent a letter to Lloyds TSB using the template on this site requesting statements/ bank charges for the last 6 years together with my £10 cheque.
This morning (after exactly 40 days) I received a letter back from them and they have stated that there charging system is completely fair and the charges I received for going over my agreed overdraft limit etc. was fair as these charges are clearly stated on their website etc. etc. The letter went on to say, basically that I hope I am able to see that any charges I incurred were completley fair. Also they didn't enclose the bank statements or bank charges which is what I originally requested- And now I don't know what to do! can anybody help?
regards
Sheniz
lloyds TSB are ignoring me as well. I have written four times complaining of bank charges. The last 2 times I have enclosed a £10 cheque and asked for 6 years bank statements. They haven't cashed the cheques and I have yet to receive a response . The last letter was sent recorded delivery. The 40 days runs out this week, I then plan to compain to the ICO. Hopefully they will be able to help me.
Has anyone else got any suggestions?
Good Luck!

£750 is a standard payment from Lloyds, you need to write back and say you accept it in part payment and without prejudice and will be continuing for the remainder of your claim. But as the solicitors have in fact offered you the full amount you would need to write to them and let them know that this £750 has been paid by Lloyds, sounds like the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing.0

I am really quite scared now I have followed the reclaim bank charges and the bank have taken it all the way!! I recieved a claim form in the post today which I need to send back to the court. I am really worried as they are saying that the banks charges would of been made aware to me since the account had been opened, this account has been overdrawn and is at the moment, the charges are mainly for going over my overdraft limit. Has anyone been in this position and is it worth me still pursuing this as I cannot really afford a costly court charge. Please Help!!0
