  • I received the very same letter yesterday! I am sending them a letter on Monday informing them i intend to take them to court for the £660 they owe me unless they repspond within 14 days. It's just a delaying tactic referring to the ombudsman. He will find in our favour, as will the courts, which is why they always settle before it gets that far. If i win, they will also owe me £80 court costs!
  • I recieved my Defence this morning (4 days before deadline) with the usual blah blah which is standard. I got my boss to have a look at his (i work for a law firm) who said its absolute crap and Kirstie Ross is prob some rubbish solicitor who cannot even be bothered to look at individual cases (if there is such a person ha) anyway going to be sending off my AQ soon but he said which is a big must when filling it out put that it is small claims otherwise a) if you lose you pay their costs and b) you dont have to pay the x amount to file the same - hes going to defend my claim so ill keep posted about the progress of the same
  • Hi, I'm new to this forum but I sent of my request for statements on 3rd of July which means their 40 days are almost up but today i got a letter saying they know that they have only 40 days to reply but they have a high volume of requests and they regret that they are not yet able to provide me with the information requested. They say they understand I can refer them to the information commissioner but they will provide the information as soon as possible. Do I just have to wait or is there something I can do? I have looked at the information commissioner's web site and it doesn't look very promising.
  • ignore their letter they will send them as soon as you threaten them with court proceedings also start the process now on moneyclaim to get the ball rolling, they are a joke they send the same standard rubbish to everyone - good luck

  • hi there
the address that i have for lloyds tsb seems to depend on your sort code
so your dept number would probably be the same as the last part of your sort code.
the adress that i have is Lloyds Tsb Bank Plc, customer service centre,
dept 67-11 (change that number to the latter part of your sort code),
    box 5, bx1 1lt.
i wouldn't bother with the phone as you'll probably end up talking to someone in a call centre in outer mongolia or somewhere lol
good luck - i just sent them my claim today
  • hi there
as a newbie and inexperienced in this field i am trying to gather information so all help would be apreaciated.
i have just sent off my initial letter to the bank reclaiming £1699.00 for my bank charges. i have only gone back to jun 2002 and not the full 6 years which would've upped my claim considerably. i have pointed this fact out to lloyds tsb in a covering letter hoping it would sway things in my favour, pointing out, of course that if i have to persue through courts i would go back the full 6 years.
the question i have is how long should i wait for a reply before sending the next letter threatening legal action? just in case i'm simply ignored
thanx in advance for your help
