Hello Folks,
I have sent off my second letter detailing the amount I am reclaming and attached a spreadsheet showing the charge amounts, date of charge and reason for charge. I received a reply by mail from LTSB advising me that they will need between 4 and 8 weeks to give me a reply to my enquiry. My question is, do I need to wait for their response before I fire off the third letter stating that I wish to take them to court for the full value?
Many Thanks

The timescale is in your hands. Go with the timscales advised on the site and dont be distracted by them. The bank will probably write at some point and say they need more time anyway to complete their investigations. Cheers for the reply, I will take your advice and get the third letter sent off recorded delivery.
Thanks

Well at last the !!!!!!s have paid up!
I started the process back in October and had to send all the letters, file a claim online, return the Allocation Questionnaire etc.
Had received notice from the court to attend a meeting with Lloyds TSB and the judge on how the case was to proceed. This was scheduled to take place on the 26th March.
I've just checked my online banking and discovered that Lloyds have refunded the full amount that I asked for.
Thanks to Edinburghlass, Rex and Nickmack and any others that have answered my queries during the past few months.:money:
Well done!
I started mine just after yours, in November last year. I'm finding it really frustrating to be honest, still haven't got a date from the court.
I've just spoken to them, and the next 'run' of bank charge hearings are on the 24th April, and mine isn't one of them
Turns out the next batch will be in June.
That's nearly 7 months - I think I'm losing the will to live0 -

Looking forward to reading the letterwitchywarloc wrote: »Filed allocation questionairre on 4th April- TSB have until the 14th
Asked not to give them a stay as they dont make contact and asked for defence to be stuck out as they never turn up in court
Court said I would hear from them in due course
Question are what happens next?
and any idea of a timescale?

This morning I have sent letters for the same info from Aqua (Halifax) mastercard, Barclays Visa, Lloyds TSB Visa and Lloyds TSB Bank.
I do have a query though as now I am slightly unsure.
Due to the financial situation that we are in we have recently gone to CCCS for help.
Their advise to us was to go bankrupt as our situation is so dire. However I didn't feel that was a route I was willing to take at this time.
So CCCS have been acting on our behalf and are paying a serious minimum to all our creditors because the expendible income we have is so low.
I have an outstanding loan with Lloyds but obviously they are not happy with the amount that was offered have not accepting and are continuing with their processes.
Due to this I recently went to the bank only to discover that they have closed my account themselves without any warning.
Am I still eligible to claim back my bank charges?
My other question is:-
With any creditors that have accepted the reduced payment amounts and stopped interest charges would I be rocking the boat to initiate the same process against them?
Just bumping up message!0 -
I filed my claim this morning directly with my local county court. I feel so liberated!
When I got home i thought i would give the recovery centre in Hampshire another try (been trying for days and it was always engaged)
reason for phoning them was because i had originally and stupidly enlisted the help of a company (before I knew about this site) I had since cancelled my agreement with them and just wanted to make sure the bank had recived the letter stating that i was now dealing with this matter myself and not to send any correspondence to the vulture company ( didnt want company to know how much they were going to lose!
When I got through the man was very nice and helpfull, he told me what i wanted to know. he also said it would be another couple of weeks before they got around to looking at my case. Then he said " please read between the lines of what im about to say" you are certainly due for another letter from us soon! then he repeated " did you read between the lines?
He was so nice and helpful that i didnt want to tell him i had filed my claim this morning!
Im not sure what he was trying to tell me but i think he meant that i would soon be getting the 2nd letter that i have seen on this thread already stating that they need another 4 weeks. But i could be wrong.
Not that it matters as i have already moved on to the next step. hopefully i will be seeing a big fat bank balance very soon.
Good luck to everyone.
