The post has just arrived and I have the standard fob off letter from them as most people have received....

The 14 days are up today, so I'd already printed off the letter to threaten court and just off to the post office now to send it.

    wish me luck......:A

just give them 7 days to reply to that one - you can choose the duration you dont have to use 14 days. they wont pay up anyway so may as well make time shorter so you can get onto courts. I got standard letter twice so went straight for the kill
  • Hi, I have taking your advice and ploughed on with sending the various letters; the last being the "final warning before court action" letter. Up to today I hadn't had so much as a sniff of a response from them, no partial offers, nothing. Today I received the standard letter as detailed above.. ie "Sorry you are unhappy .yadda yadda.."
Do I now just plough on with the court action ?(when I can afford it) Is the outcome likely to be that they will finally give me my money? Getting scared now!!
Cheers in advance of your help, best wishes, Tania x
  • Filed allocation questionairre on 4th April- TSB have until the 14th

Asked not to give them a stay as they dont make contact and asked for defence to be stuck out as they never turn up in court

Court said I would hear from them in due course

    Question are what happens next?
and any idea of a timescale?

    Anybody please!!!!!
  • We have received a letter from LloydsTSB telling us that default charges people pay when they break an agreement with them doesnt apply to us as the charges we have accrued are for dealing with a request to go over our agreed overdraft limit. We havent asked to go over the agreement as in the past they have told us we cannot increase our limit. These are the prices for the services they provide in these situations. I am worried that this reply means that we cant go ahead with the court process now for our charges which amount to just over £5000. Please can someone help and tell me if this is just a frightener and that we should push on to the small claims court.
Just now I feel very worried and scared
  • absolute rubbish. Yet another attempt to sidestep the claim. Just go ahead and you will be fine.

I've claimed back everything except the interest. This included the daily £8 charge, monthly £20/£25 charge and the £32/£35 they charged for bouncing cheques/direct debits.

I should have heard from the Yorkshire bank Visa Card people today - I'll give them a little grace for the Easter bank holidays, then I'll take them to court.

    :D
:j Capital One: Claimed back £267.48 interest Received back EVERYTHING

Yorkshire Bank Visa: Claiming £163.84 Received back EVERYTHING

Yorkshire Bank Current Account: £4500 - Recieved back everything.

Money saved so far: £100+ on train tickets; £100+ on a washing machine; £52 on travel insurance. £20 a month on shopping delivery; £100 on car insurance...

...Thanks Martin! You deserve a Knighthood! :money:

    the 2nd page states
