Hi, just starting out with my claim from LSTB going back 6 years. Have today received letter from them which I now realise is a standard reply (patronising).
Anyone else in same position and want to share thoughts, help etc? I am only 1 month into this claim.
Stick to your timetable and don't let them sidetrack you.0 -
Tozer, sorry if you thought it was rude - I was just frustrated that you keep on posting the same thing (ie over 6 years NOT allowed) whilst closing your eyes to the evidence that banks are paying these claims. It would be more fair to let the OP know that although you don't approve, it is quite possible to do it and to win.
And as for your comment about the court process not being something to be abused, perhaps this should be addressed to the banks themselves. They are currently making a mockery of the whole process with their drawn out pretend defences, always culminating in a last minute offer. They are just trying to frighten away claimants and I don't like to see you apparently colluding with them by also frightening off potential claimants.
I accept this is NOT what you mean to do, but it is how it comes across.0 -

I am claiming back circa £3,000 from Lloyds TSB. I have sent them two letters, got the standard one above from the first one and have not received a reply re the second one yet.
I have completed the money claim details online, but have just found out that it's going to cost me £120!! I can't afford this immediately - will it effect my claim if I have to wait until the 23rd to be able to pay for the claim?
Anyway - Fingers crossed it won't.

Hi,
I am in the process of claiming back £2300, but a few months ago i got some charges back just by phoning my local branch and telling them i cannot afford the charges, they took off the £120 there and then.
6 omnths before that they took off £60 over the phone also.
They said that they can remove bank charges over the phone every 6 months as a goodwill gesture.
If you are only wanting small charges back for that month, it's worth phoning them as soon as your letter with charges is received. They will probably remove them without all the hassle of sending letters etc...
Regards
