Hi, i wonder if anyone knows what this one is all about!! Lloyds TSB rang my partner out of the blue the other day to tell him they had overcharged him by £35 and would be sending him a letter to sign before they could send him the cheque. The cheque arrived with £16 interest. He has about 1800 worth of bank charges on that account and i have recently written to ask for them back as per templates on this site. The cheque arrived before i sent my letter. Anyone know what they could be up to? i`m worried he`s signed away his right to claim.0

Sorry to bump this, I appreciate that you are all very busy.
Is my best option to get a loan elsewhere and pay this Lloyds loan and overdraft off before reclaiming bank charges?
No, Claypole , just carry on with the claim. It won't affect your loan or overdraft. We are filing with MCOL for LLoyds today and have a loan and a £15k  credit card in arrears. Have managed to get rid of the £3500 overdraft aswe had a nice tax rebate.:j
Ignore everything they say (unless its "here's your money back"!) and carry on regardless. The banks and building societies are just trying to delay everything by sending differnt letters to different people and sticking the frightners on. Its your money - go get it.:DLBM 22nd February 2007 - Amount in debt £72,242.23:confused: one month on  £63,900;) 2nd month 60,000.09

It's just delay tactics. They send the same letters and defence to everyone regardless of the amount you are claiming. Take control, stick to your schedule, YOU WILL WIN IN THE END.

Yes, he`s not too up on the reclaim bank charges thing. The cheque has arrived. I smell a rat!!!!!! haven`t heard of banks refunding, and even searching for your new address without being asked to refund. This could possibly be a new trick to confuse those not so informed.0

Hi all...would be very interested to hear Lloyds TSB stories as I sent my letter last week....:D0

Rang TSB a while ago to ask to speak to somebody about reclaiming my charges and was told to ring the recovery unit on 01264 832297. However I will add to this that every time I have tried to ring this(including as I am writing this post Sunday Morning 10:20 ish it is ENGAGED)- wondering if this is just a wayto delay people.
Has anybody managed to get through on this number?????????

I got a letter from the court with an allocation questionnaire to fill in, has anyone else got to this stage before? What happens when it goes to court? It seems silly to me for them to take me to court when they don't seem to have won yet. Are they up to something?0

Hi, I am in the final stages of reclaiming from Yorkshire bank. Despite their offer of half the money I have held firm and gone through the moneyclaim site. They in turn stated their intention to defend the claim in full and were allowed 28 days by the court to file a defence. The 28 days are up tomorrow (mon 2nd Apr) and I have had no contact. Should they not file a defence in time what should be my next move be? Any advise is greatly appriciated. ThanksStick to YOUR timescale. Dont take ANY bull. DONT be intimidated. The law is on OUR side.
Feel free to thank me if I was a help
