Hi have just looked through the threads and need to know is the Andover addy the one l need to send the letter too asking for my charges. Was just going to hand it into the bank but have decided to get it sent reg post now, can anyone help!!
I would hand the request for statements to your branch as I'm not sure which addy it has to go to, make sure the branch gives you a slip of paper acknowledging receipt0 -
Hi
I am claiming from Lloyds myself and I received the standard letter from them basically saying NO to me getting my money back after I sent them the 1st letter. However, I am now claiming on behalf of my fiancee and they have sent him a different letter in response to the 1st letter we sent stating that they are going to investigate the complaint and will get back to him within 4 weeks. If however there is a delay, they will let us know and try to give us an idea as to when the complaint will be resolved.
Should we carry on with the 2nd letter or wait for them to get back to us?

Its a delaying tactic i think, you dictate the timetable not them.Hi

I Sent My First Template Letter End Of Last Month, Recieved First Letter From Them Saying How Sorry They Were To Hear I Have A Complaint And Will Look Into It Within The Next Two Weeks. Recieved A Second Letter Today Updating Me Where They Are With My Complaint, And Will Get Back To Me Within Four Weeks Now, Still No List Of Charges Made To Me, With That In Mind Their 40 Days Are Coming To An End, Do You Sit Tight And Still Wait For Charges To Be Sent Even If It Goes Past The 40 Days Or Start To Chase Them Up?0

Hi all who are wrestling with Lloyds TSB! I have submitted two MCOL claims -one for a private account and one for a business account. After my first letters to them I received the usual fob-off replies (both incidentally did not record my account numbers or get my surname right and, when I telephoned the branch that had sent the letters, I was told that the 'team leader' who wrote it didn't write it, I was given the name of the person who apparently did write it and the name of a different team leader - three different people. Not a very efficient or professional way to run a business. Anyway, for the private account I enclosed all bank statements - which, luckily, I had kept which showed the charges but, on the business account, I sent the end of year accounts from my chartered accountant showing the bank charges - these have always been good enough for the Inland Revenue so I thought they would do. All my statements for the business are, unfortunately, in France (we have a holiday home there which we intend to move to permanently at some time in the future so every time we go over there we take bits and pieces that we don't think we need to keep - we do this to make the eventual move easier!) Today I received a letter from the bank's solicitor re the business account (even they did not get my surname right, either!) and they say that 'Unless we receive a breakdown from you, giving full account details and showing each charge, what it relates to and the date levied within 7 days of the date of this letter (which gives me till Tuesday next week!), we will make an application to strike out the claim.' If I have no choice, I will have to fly to France to retrieve the statements but, of course, I would prefer not to. I intend going there at the end of May, anyway. My questions: can they make an application to strike out the claim? Can they give me just seven days in which to comply? My MCOL acknowledgment of service has given the bank until 10th April to file a defence so it seems they are dictating the time-scale here; what do others think?
I have yet to receive anything from the solicitor handling the private account claim but that should be more straighforward because I have the statements
I would be extremely grateful for some advice - thanks!
As they have asked for more information from you ,then you could try asking the court for an extension or stay to enable you to provide the information requested by them as you feel the 7 days offered is not enough time to do so.0 -

First they will acknowledge the claim, then file a defence that you will get a copy of from court, The court may then redirect the claim to your local court ( they did with mine ) and send you the AQ to fill in and return, then you wait for the response from the court while getting all of your paperwork and court bundle ready just incase.
Thats as far as i am in the process so all i can tell you at the mo.

I can't find a single person who has had any joy from Lloyds without taking them to court. Should we all just cut out the first couple of letters and go straight for court action? I have all my charges listed and ready and have sent my LBA but they just seem to drag it out only to go as far as the court EVERY time it seems. Does anyone have any bright ideas?
