Where do i send the 2nd letter with my request to get the moneys owed ?
I got the same letter laste week and it doesn't actually give a clear indication of the address to send your claim to. The address at the top of the letter is for the 'Copy statement Unit' and so I didn't want to send it to them as I could see a reply coming back see 'We only send out copies of statements.'
Instead I've sent my claim (recorded delivery) to the address I was given by a family friend who works in the local branch:
Lloyds TSB
125 Colmore Row
Birmingham
B3 3SF
Hope this helps!0 -

I have all my charges listed and ready and have sent my LBA but they just seem to drag it out only to go as far as the court EVERY time it seems. Does anyone have any bright ideas? Should I just go to MCOL?
I have read a few posts where people have been succesful with their claim against Lloyds on the sucsses storys thread. I hope WE will be joining them soon. GOOD LUCK0 -

I waited the 56 days and it got me nowhere - they did send me a cheque as a goodwill gesture but only for part of the money that i am owed back, if you are going to fight for every penny back i suggest you take them to court straight away, if you are willing to accept part payment give them to 56 days see what they come up with, i think its just stall tatics, im now taking the bank to court, i wish i had done it straight away i could have had my money back by now!0 -
Hi, I am claiming back £13.5K from Yorkshire Bank on a business account. There are plenty of success stories on the CAG website however it seems Yorkshire Bank were one of the hardest to crack. The recent Whistle Blower programme hopefully has changed that. I am now doing my AQ and including CyntheSis in the directions.
Don't let them wear you down, you will not lose, they just try to scare people and delay proceedings by any means they can. Also DO NOT accept any partial offers, it's your money and they should repay ALL of it.
Good Luck Everyone with your claims.

Hi All
Just got a letter from Lloyds about my credit card fees, it goes as follows:
Thank you for your letter dated 17th March.
Firstly, I would like to clarify that Paymetn Protection Cover premiums are not penalty charges that have been applied to your account but an insurance cover that was sold to you over the telephone on 19th May 2006 when you called our Phonebank department. A policy document was then sent to you, which detailed the cover and have an opportunity to cancel, had you wished to, you did not do this.
Had you have wished to make a claim under this insurance policy at any time for unemployment, accident, sickness, Jobcare or the life cover, this would of course have been accepted under the terms of the policy. You have paid for a service over the years, which had you needed, you could have claimed on.
(I asked them to refund this as I had never been given the option to use this when I became unemployed in October 2006 - I'm not sure if I remember correctly, but I was told I couldn't use the protection cover and had to still make payments to my card) I felt I had been mis-sold the product as they led me to believe that if I lost my job, I would not have to make any payments for the duration that I was unemployed) - CAN I INSIST THEY PAY IT BACK?
For the reasons above, it is not appropriate to comply with your request for a full refund of the premiums charged to this account.
With regards to the late payment charges that you have incurred, having reviewed your account, I can see that the carge levied on each occasion was £12.00, which the OFT recommended the charges to be cut to. Therefore, due to this, we would not look to offer a refund of the charges you have incurred.
I hope I have been able to fully answer the points you have raised with us.
Right - my question is - can I still insist that they pay this back - should I ask them for an itemised breakdown of how much each step of their charging process actually costs in order to prove that they were justified in charging £12.00 a time.
Or, should I just proceed to applying to the court.
Thanks for your help.0 -
I don't know about the first part of your dilema but the 2nd part is very similar to me, i am claiming £220 from lloyds cc, they have offered £97, i declined they reply - sorry that is banks final offer.
I am going to sumbit court claim.0 -
My claim is £505.00 plus 8% interest now moneyclaim done. This morning I have received YB defence so now have to wait allocation papers. Why are they doing all this for such a small claim?0
