Hi I tried to claim £1154.73 but was totally refused by Lloyds TSb they send me Bank Charges Guide and saying that its fair too that they are completely open about any charged-for services before I might need them.

So guys any help what to do now thanks

Send your 2nd letter this time requesting interest as well. Use the calculator on the main article to add them up and get a list and total. Standard fob-off and you just carry on with the process. Regardless of them being in the terms and conditions and that they are open about it they are still unlawful and this is the basis of reclaiming. Its like saying, we can rob you cos it says so here and we dont care what the law says. Ridiculous. Good luck :)

I tried reading through as many posts as I could but couldn't find an answer so sorry if this has been asked before...
I got up to step 3 and asked the bank for my money back-they had until monday to reply to me (2nd april) but I got a letter today saying-"we are sorry you are unhappy blah blah-please ring this nmber where we will try to resolve this matter-if you do not ring us we will carry on with our investigations but this may take up to 4 weeks"
does this mean I know have to wait 4 weeks for their reply before I send the letter before court action?
    thanks in advance.xxx

Good luck, I'm very near to this stage with my husband's claim, it seems like Lloyds are a hard bunch to crack, the success stories from Lloyds customers seem to be more scarce and when you do read them it seems like people have had to go the whole way.

    keep us posted

ok.i have sent my own £10 to my bank the yorkshire bank and they have wrote back saying they are on with sending me my detailed bank statements.at the same time my mate sent his and his wifes into the lloyds tsb and the halifax.he has heard nothing so i told him to ring the bank...the numbers he got he rang and they said they know nothing about any letters and they have not received any correspondence from him..
so what does he do now..does he just print another letter for the same bank and write another £10 cheque and personelly hand it in at the bank.as last time they where sent through the post.allthough i think the numbers he rang where not local branches of the banks.
any help here would be great..

For LLoyds TSb you send it to
    Copy Statement Unit
    Swallow House
    10 Swallow Street
    BIRMINGHAM
    B1 2AL

Send another £10 cheque and post it RECORDED Delivery which costs about £1.00

If they have online banking you can get your last 5 years statements online.

Not sure on the other bank as i only have dealing with TSB.

I would get them to HIGHLIGHT AND PUT IN BOLD - they want a full 6 years NOT just from Sep 2001 - as LLoyds are doing the delay tactic and just sending from Sep 01 - current. and say in letter if you want prior to that date to re apply at no cost but will take a further 40 days!! so state clearly your WANTE FULL 6 YEARS and not to bother just sending from Sep 01 only.

    hope this helps

Also tel number for the copy statement dept is 0121 633 5476 or fax number 0121 633 5443

if they are still using there account i would FAX letter over as you can ask them to take the money out of your account for the £10 charge - that way you know they have letter as you will have fax receipt
