It appears after every O/Draft excess fee, there is also the O/Draft interest, but I guess you leave that out?
Account charge for £7 is simply your monthly charge for having the select account benefits - this isn't an unfair charge and cannot be claimed back it is the price that you are paying for a service. Also yes, you should leave out any interest for now - just the charges for O/draft excess.0 -

I've sent a letter to Lloydstsb head office requesting to refund my charges within 7 days or I will procced with court action, today is the 14th day and not heard any response, can this be normal or should I continue with a final warning letter or file for court?0

Lloyds TSB have paid up in full!!
I made the initial claim in July, which of course they rejected. Did MCOL in september, which they said they were gonna defend. Received the AQ from their solicitors in October requesting a postponement and an indication that they would settle. I sent a letter saying that I would only settle for the full amount!!
I received another letter this morning saying they would pay up in full but they're not admitting any liability & i must be a good girl and not incur charges inthe future!!
I'm chuffed!!!:D0 -

my advice on the falling behind side of things is to stay in contact with your bank on the matter, out of past experiances I have found if you just ignor them only bad things happen. If you open dialogue with them and activly look for a resolution to the matter the banks tend to look on this favourably and normally should try to help you out. Try asking for a repayment break on the loans and give them a realistic date you can catch up on the arrears. My own personal advice would be not to log your claim until you are back on an even keel with the loans as they may just close the accounts and demand payment in full of the loans which is usually within 30 days of the notice given.0 -
cheers for advice0

First of all I'd like to say a big hello to all the amazing people on these boards.
I've lurked round here for a while and have found the advice and support available amazing.
Now for my question.........
Back in September I started a claim against Lloyds TSB and got as far as sending a LBA. Lloyds sent me their final response which I received on October 18th but since then I've done nothing.
I've given myself a kick up the backside to get moving on this again. Is it ok to proceed with filing a claim via moneyclaim or would it best to send another LBA due to the fact that its been so long since my last correspondence with Lloyds.
Thanks In Advance.0 -
Hi
I would start the Moneyclaim straightaway, you have given them plenty of time to settle, so go for it.
Good luck!

I apologise if i'm just asking questions that have already been covered, I went through a bad patch a few years back and ended up with charges
totalling around £550. I was absolutely useless with my money and I was too timid at the time to phone the bank up or anything like that. Anyhow somebody offered to clear the charges for me, and I closed the account on the same day.
If I have closed my account of my own free will, can I still claim back the charges? The person who helped me out isn't quite as flush now as they used to be, and i'd really like to be able to give them back some, if not all, of the money that they paid out!
I've used the template letter for requesting details of the charges, and have put as many details as I can remember about where the account was opened and closed.
Also, I haven't got a chequebook, is there any other way of paying the £10 charge or will I have to hope someone will write a cheque on my behalf?0
