This morning my bank YORKSHIRE BANK have returned my letter and schedule - I am asking for refund of charges and interest totalling £1101.
The letter reads:
In order for us to deal with this request we require a fee of £10. Send your letter and fee back to us in the pre-paid envelope enclosed.
HAS ANY ONE ELSE HAD TO DO THIS?
I presume I will have to pay or they wont even look at my claim!!

Hi
This is quite unbelievable and of course is utter rubbish!!
No bank is entitled to charge you for making a complaint!!
The only stage where you should be required to pay a £10 is for a request for information under the Data Protection Act.
I would write back, enclosing your original letter and schedule and ask them on what basis they are asking for a fee.
Good luck......

Thanks giggilicious, I actually went in to the branch today and they offered to forward the letter internally for me, I was a bit worried by their offer so asked the woman for a receipt, just so i have proof, if you know what i mean!0 -

OK, what have you lot done to Lloyds then. After my previous 2 letters sayint that son had £210 agreed overdraft and then£90 all in same day, today I get another letter from them and i cant make head or tail of it.I think they are losing it.read this and see what you think, maybe you can point out something I've missed.
Dear Mr.......
The bank is prepared todemonstrate it's flexability on this occasion and authorise a special repayment arrangement to assist you through your present period of financial difficulty.
Starting on 1 April 2007 we will accept payment of £12.00 per month for 10 months.
It is important that sufficient funds remain availible in your chequ account to cover the ammount agreed.Unless you ask us to do otherwise, these monthly payments will be credited to your account as follows.
acc no ...... Balance - £207 due amount £7.00 Concession £12.00
Total payment due £12.00
At the end of your repayment plan period,we will expect to go back to the original agreement in connection with your payments. If you are still in difficulties at that time,we might be able to extend your repayment plan or come to some other arrangement with you.etc etc.
Now,the points in question being,at the moment we pay them £12.37 a month. Why drop it by 37p.also when they say that the cheque acc must have enough funds in it to pay the £12.00.But you can see that he is £207 overdrawn.£7 over his overdraft. It's all gone over my head.Do they mean that he must pay £12 into his acc each month or we carry on sending it to them?.It's all very strange.0 -
Hi,
I wrote to Lloyds TSB last month asking for my statements for the last 6 years. They sent me the last 3 months. I got in contact with them and was told the rest of the statements were on the way. Anyway, the 40 days is nearly up and still no statements. How should I do to get the rest of the statements.

Hello,
Can anybody tell me how long it takes once you've sent the Allocation Questionnaire off for things to move on again?
I've sent mine off just over two weeks ago and was wondering when I'd get a date?
Thanks
