Lloyds are apparently contesting my claim too! I'm hoping they've not got something up their sleeves - I don't want to be a failure :o

I received an offer from Lloyds last week (03/03/07) offering me £640 as a gesture of good will. I'd already registered the claim with the court so thought I'd wait until the cheque appeared until I decided what I was going to do.
I'd kinda decided to take the money and run but they've sent me a cheque today for £595 "as agreed"
Has this happened to anyone else? Should I tell them to whistle? Any help would be appreciated.

    DO NOT BANK THE CHEQUE,
by doing this you are agreeing with the terms of their letter.

  • Hello all,

First of all i must say what a fantastic website :)

I have written to Lloyds TSB asking for them to provide me with "I am writing to request a fully comprehensive list of all the default charges for direct debit, unauthorised overdrafts and standing orders I have paid over the last six years."

They have written back to me

"I am just writing to let you know that we have received your complaint - and to say sorry i am to learn that you feel you have cause to complain.

Please get in touch if we've misunderstood your concerns or if you have some more information you want us to have. If we don't hear back form you within the next couple of days, we will carry on with our investigation using the information you've already provided.

We expect our enquiries to be completed within the next two weeks but we will try to get our response to you sooner if we can. if there's a delay, we will let you know why and we'll give you an idea of when you can expect to receive a full response to yur complaint. i hope we can sort things out for you."

    1. is this a standard response?

    2. do i need to reply?

Thanks in advance for you help

Standard letter by Lloyds, in fact often they are following this up with a goodwill gesture without even sending out the statements/information. They have 40 days to provide the information but if they haven't replied after the two weeks they suggest, give them a ring.
  • Hi,

I am claiming bank charges back with lloyds for my mum.....sent the 1st letter abot a 3 week ago, she received a letter last week saying, her bank statements will be with her in the next 5 days and she received the past 6 years bank statements this morning.
She didn't receive the same letter as ourself but it did say on the letter something about claiming bank charges so they were already prepared for her to claim.
  • I dont suppose anyone has the phone numbers for Andover Recovery Centre?? I have got it on my letter which is in my house and im currently away with work!!

    Thanks

I have just received a letter from Lloyds dated 1st March offering us £682.50 we asked for £580 plus interest - the letter stated that it will be credited to our account in a few days (nothing has been paid in).

We had started court proceedings on the 2nd March and they had 14 days to reply from the 7th March.

Can we still accept this offer even though it was made before we started the proceedings - and should we carry on to get the remainder of £110 (interest and court costs)????
