God I'm amazed, my Daughter has been stinging me for years by your lists.

She's 19 this year & wants a laptop as her main prezzie (about £400), I will get her a few bits to open as well, no more than £100 on those, perhaps some boots & fashion jewellery.

I usually spend about £400 - £500 per birthday & Xmas, but then I do have only one child. If I had more I would have to spend less on her.

We spoil her, as I said she 19 (at college) & we still give her pocket money, LOL.

    Happy Christmas in advance

I've spent about £600 on mine so far, few more things to get, but the youngests is mainly his protective motocross clothing which I would have bought anyway and it is expensive. Still have to get his boots and body armour which will be over £100 more but all means he's safe. Shocking part is he's coming up 6 and because he's so tall etc I've had to buy him small adults clothes and had to pay more, same with the boots he needs at least a size 4 or 5 and will probably end up paying adult prices. This is our first no credit xmas and the whole lots been saved for so I am not bothered about splashing out as long as I don't get into debt to do it.
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb

My daughter will be seven months old at Christmas; we have got her some toys for the bath (£5!) and then will put some money in her child trust fund account. We both figured that she won't know it's Christmas and the idea of seeing her opening a little present is just for our benefit!
However some people I know are buying loads of presents for their babies - Do you think we are mean?

We have a 5 month old and we are doing he same thing. One present she can open with us on Christmas day and then cash into her trust fund. Friends are buting their children same age lots thats up to them but we feel were not being mean.

    I m with your way off thinking 100% ;-)
  • DD is 10, not bought anything yet
on her list for santa (yes she still believes thanks to a trip to lapland last year with grandparents) she's asked for ...
    -football kit & boots
    -basketball kit, hoop & ball
    -now 65 cd
    -pink mp3 player
-pixel chix 2 story house (don't think i'll get this as she has the original house from last xmas!)
    -pixel chix mall
    -animal hospital quad bike
-new beads to hang over her wardrobe door
    -puzzleball the world jigsaw
-high school musical cd & dvd
I expect she'll get everything along with some arty stuff & new books
OH & I are expecting to spend about £200 on her (we argue every year as he keeps on about he only got £100 spent on him when he was a kid - i keep telling him he should inflate that by 18 years & realise we are being very careful!!!) If i could i'd get her anything she wanted :o she's my baby & the best thing about xmas & birthdays is seeing her face light up when she opens a present & sees what's inside :D
btw i'm quite lucky as parents are very generous & tend to buy the things we can't afford to plus a load of other stuff too (another sticky subject with OH :rotfl: )
    Merry Xmas everyone
    Lou

Rachie he's going into a 4 but the boots you usually have to get a size bigger, he's about 4ft 6. He isn't even 6 yet, not until the end of next January. He was in a size 10 before he was 2 years old. I've got to buy the boots closer to Xmas as they'll only give me a 28 day return on them same with his body armour or I'd have bought them early aswell, I finished most Xmas shopping for the boys about October time. His Dad usually wears a 14 so I know where he gets it from. He's cost me a fortune already as his feet are broad aswell and Clarks/Start Rite is a must every time, and he goes through them every couple of months.
