  • my DD age 8 is getting a ds lite. Shes also getting a MP3 player, pixel chick mall and a Nintendo play pup and McFlys new album which was all free what she won from swap it shop but shes not allowed them until christmas.

DS age 2 is getting a couple of care bears that I picked up from the charity shop but their like new, a toy hoover, ironing board and toy plane that was in the 3 for 2 out of woolworths and a table and chair set that was in the sale in woolworths knocked down from £50 to £15 but its pink but he wont mind. Hes also got a big cook little cook apron for when hes painting for his stocking and i will put a few little drawing pads and things from poundland in there too.

DD age 17 got a lizard from us all earlier in the year so shes not getting anything apart from what family buys her but she says shes happy about that as long as she gets her christmas dinner :D

  • My daughter will be seven months old at Christmas; we have got her some toys for the bath (£5!) and then will put some money in her child trust fund account. We both figured that she won't know it's Christmas and the idea of seeing her opening a little present is just for our benefit!
However some people I know are buying loads of presents for their babies - Do you think we are mean?
  • My two teens have their hearts set on an ipod each
Even though I am now forking out twice as much as I did when they were younger ,under the tree looks a lot less exciting on christmas morning!!

i agree £ spent gets bigger and presents smaller as children grow.!
they will get stockings too....mainly freebies/freecycle/charity shop.
they only have a few family to open but more important is fun together.we make unwrapping stockings last all day and presents over 3-4 days.unwrap and play thoroughly until bored is my motto.
Every day above ground is a good one ;)

My 10yo daughter wants a pink Nintendo DS with Nintendogs (she doesn't want the lite version). She wants a couple of other games to go with it. A dvd and 2 cd's and a Panic At The Disco t-shirt. The parcels will look like nothing! I'll probably put some jammies and a book to try and bulk it up a bit.

Eldest son aged 10 is having a Nintendo DS Lite with nintendogs game
Youngest son aged 4 is having power rangers trike
they are their main presents from us

I darent list everything they are having :D
  • overlykeensaver, i don't think your mean, i think your sensible, as others have said your bound to get other presents from relatives.

Our baby is due on 7th Dec, so will in theory only be a few weeks old, we have bought a little wooden train spelling what his name will be and we are going to put some money into an account for him. He'll have no concept whatsoever, so don't see the point on getting loads of things when we have the birth and adjusting to being parents so close to xmas.
