  • It's not playing with them, it's that you'd specifically go and buy girls toys for a boy.

I take it you have never seen the inside or a nursery when the children are playing. Boys love playing with toys like this and there was plenty of time Id see the boys making a mad dash to the play kitchen area to grab the best pans and fake food to cook the dollies some tea :D

jumpinjilly Ive just re-read the post I made to you and I think I may have wrote it wrong and made it sound like I didnt agree with what you are doing over christmas, which I certainly didnt mean it to do. :) I hope you have a lovely time and I agree its not how much you have spent but the time you spend together that counts.

Last year I went over the top on pressies thanks to loads of grabbits I found on this site :o the kids ended up with far too much and most of the day I spent clearing things away so didnt get to sit down much with the kids. Even my 8 year old has said this year she doesnt want much and just wants things we can all sit down together and play or make while we watch tv. :)

not too sure wat my brother (his dad) is getting him yet, or his uncle, great auntys, uncles, nana etc. And aint got a clue what he will get at his mums house but he will be spoilt to say the least.

But I can understand a rocking horse more than I can understand designer clothes for little children.Sorry, but I just don't see the point. And a six month old does not need trainers.

wow even i agree, although we did go a little mad buying designer outfits for our sons when they were small ,but 4 pairs of trainers ?!!! he will outgrow them waaaaay before he outwears them as he cant even walk l;) lol

spose theres always resell value on ebay ;) and £48 for a gap snowsuit?!!! I prob would have been so stupid to buy that before i found this forum :D

But each to their own as they say :)

We have found that the designer clothes wash better than most other high street clothing, therefore last longer and the kids always get comments from people about how nice they look, if you can afford it then why not.
The babys trainers are all different sizes to allow him to grow and they also complement some of his outfits and keep his feet warm hence the reason for getting them.

If I could afford it I would buy some designer gear for xmas also, instead of scratting around at matalan sometimes. Fair play as long as we try not to get into debt cant see the problem.

DD1 age 12 is having a freeview box for her bedroom, 2 playstation games, Dr Who toys and a Dr Who calendar so far. DD2 who is 9 is having a dolls house, dolls to go in it, interactive dog TV game and a Bratz calendar so far. But we are going on holiday to Cairo in just over a weeks time which is supposed to be a combined xmas present for all of us which is why I didn't spend so much on proper presents this year.
