  • The debt clearing is not going so good, i have paid the minimum payments on the 2 CCs this month but not paid over. Have DDs Dance classes to pay for £48 :(

Glad that January has come to an end, just need to get through February & March as i hate the cold damp months, looking forward to April and the start of spring.

Must go and clean the bathroom, no good to keep ignoring it.

  • Today has to be a NSD, to prove to myself that i can do it. Was horrified yesterday, i popped into Sainsburys and started browsing and spent over £30 on rubbish. I really did not need to even go in, let alone spend money on things i did not need, i sometimes act like an addict.

Need to hide away my debit card, use cash, stick to a meal planner and stop spending money just for the sake of it. Need to give myself a good talking to

    Hey

These things happen..just try not to do it again:naughty:

    :D

My advice would be if you want to grocery shop then stick to Mr L or Mr AL?I..that way at least there is more bunce for your cash..and less choice and so temptation. Was reading that the average AL!I has 800 lines and a Sainers has 30000... Shocking really..

Anyways have a great weekend MC!! Anything good planned?

  • Spent the weekend enjoying the snow with the DC, the dog loved it too but my chickens were not impressed, they have slowed down in the laying too, this will pick up in the spring.

Feeling sluggish today, the washing basket is overflowing & i cannot even be bothered to load the wahing machine, no one else will do it though so need to get started.

  • Hi Mummychicken
Just wanted to say hello and that your diary has really struck a chord with me. Have also been in debt for 18 years (since I left Uni). Consolidation was the way to go!!!! You know what's coming next. Even managed to pay it all off when we moved house 6 years ago and have run it up again. It's so easy to say we both work full time and have demanding jobs so we deserve clothes/ treats/ a holiday (although we haven't had particularly extravagant ones).
Have got to the stage where it stops now after lurking on this website for a very long time. We can still make the minimums without stretching, but I need to stop wasting money (especially in the supermarket) and use the extra to pay stuff off. I'm subscribing to your diary to help me.
    Hope this is ok
