Morocha, so sorry you had such a horrible time. Thank goodness baby is in the right place. I know what you mean about the midwife, when I had an ectopic pregnancy one of the nurses blurted out to another nurse "yes she could be an ectopic" right in front of me as if i wasn't there. I would rest and take it easy Morocha, despite all being ok in the end you have had a shock so be kind to yourself.

I have a question for anyone who can help. I am about 7 weeks now and over the last couple of days my symptoms have gone. I no longer feel sick, and I have more energy, and today my boobs are much less sore. We have another early scan in just over a week. But I am getting concerned. I have no cramping or bleeding so nothing to say I am having a mc. Have other people experienced their symptoms disappearing overnight?

Yeah, definitely. Symptoms come and go as your hormone levels fluctuate. Some days I felt great, others I felt absolutely awful. There's nothing much you can do to stop yourself worrying though. On this thread it's one of the most common worries after things like bleeding and cramping, so try to remember you're not alone in worrying about your symptoms disappearing.

When you don't have them you panic, when you do, you feel awful. It's lose lose. :D

Thanks Fluffnutter. Never a truer statement has been said than the last line of your post! I was moaning when I was a knackered wreck with sore boobs wanting to throw up. Now I feel normal again I am still feeling awful! :-)

I definitely had fluctuation in my symptoms candlewax, and I think 7 weeks rings a bell as a time I did - seems to be quite common from other forums etc that I frantically googled at the time. Everything is fine now though, and I'm 24 weeks (viability day) today. :)
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

    Welcome to our new ladies!

Morocha, sorry you had a rubbish few days. I don't think the NHS as an organisation really care about pregnancies before 12 weeks but I think some of the staff do care (unfortunately not all of them).

Ladies, I am a little concerned - I got out what was left of my box of profiteroles last night and when I bit into the second I realised the cream inside tasted funny. When I looked on the box they were 1 day out of date. I didn't eat anymore but I am worried about the chances of food poisioning affecting the baby even though I feel fine. Am I worrying over nothing??

Thanks for all of the congratulations - it seemed to take ages to get there, but after the 20 week scan, time seemed to go quite a bit quicker, and I'm now looking forward to my week 25 appointment on Friday so I can hear Bean's heartbeat again. I asked at the 20 week scan why you don't hear the heartbeat on UK ultrasounds like you do in the USA, and she said that they like to minimise the amount of energy the baby is exposed to as they don't know if you'll need more scan towards the end of the pregnancy. So we haven't heard the heartbeat since the 16 week appointment, so looking forward to this.

Fingers crossed that the time until your 12 week scans goes quickly ladies and that all is well when you have them. Will look forward to hearing you announce your v-days. :)
