I was drinking dilute orange juice most of the time. More interesting than water, but for some reason I didn't feel like full strength orange juice.0

Rups you can get hunger pangs not because your hungry but actually because your thirsty. Have you tried squash or lemonade instead of water? Any fluid intake is better than none.
I rarely drink plain water, but I have a collection of no added sugar squashes at home and on my desk at work. The guidance on fluid intake is all fluids, including tea, milk, fruit juice etc (although best not to drink 2 litres of orange juice/day due to the sugars and fruit acids not being good for teeth!), so have whatever you fancy. When my morning sickness was really bad lemon squash was my saviour, but now I'm mostly feeling better cherries and berries from Sainsbury's is my favourite again!Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
Hi ladies,
Thanks for the advice re the dodgy profiterole :rotfl:. Feeling fine, still having pg symptoms so I think no harm done!
Rups, I don't think I am drinking enough either so will be making an effort to drink more. As ikkle said, any fluid is better than none. I am drinking water mainly but if you're not a fan any kind of squash might be a good idea.

Hi guys.
Walby - I'm a week behind you a think. I reckon I'm 5 + 4.
Got my first doctors appointment tomorrow. Hope I get a nice one, there's one really scary doctor at my GP's that just makes me talk nonsense when I'm there he's so terrifying!
Back at work after long weekend. Mum being a bit funny - had a few comment off her this morning. Basically, she thinks we shouldn't have told anyone till 12 weeks. We've only told both sets of parents and that's mainly for practical reasons. Obv my Mum thinks I should man up and will be fine over harvest! But the other reason I've told her - is it so bad to just want to tell your Mum??!!
Best friend rang over the weekend and was telling me about a mutual friend who has very sadly miscarried at 9 weeks. It was sooo hard not to tell my best friend!0 -

Or 2 litres of coffee/fizzy coke etc due to the caffeine content.
I don't drink tea or coffee, but I avoided soda drinks full stop in the first trimester because of their caffeine content apart from lemonade, I mainly drank ribena and cordial. You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

oh zcrat, dont feel down. its hard i know. my mum is like yours. i got all sorts of comments but i let them go. basically of course its nice to tell mums etc, but you go with what is right for you, and if you feel like telling people, its really yours and your OH's decision, so dont feel bad hon. be careful over the harvest sweety.
ikkle i gave up things like diet coke too but sometimes i have a sip or few of some. the other day coke really appealed but i only drank 2 sips from DH's cup.Became Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!

Hi ladies,
Can I come and play?
I got my BFP on 27/5 and am now 6+6 (lmp date so perhaps not 100%) we'd been trying since December and every other month I'd massively ss'd, convincing myself I was pg but May whizzed by without me really thinking anything of it.
This will be no. 2, our DD is 7 though so a lot has changed and I don't expect to have nearly as easy a time of it this time.
Generally feeling ok, boobs are killing me, I'm wearing a bra 24/7 (even in the shower!!) and I'm swinging between an underlying sicky feeling to really queasy to full blown nearly sick. I've stopped the pregnacare now and am just taking folic acid on it's own as I think he iron in the pregnacare wasn't helping. I'm also sleeping loads and going to the loo more but just trying to get on with it.
We've told our best friends- a couple that lost their baby at term last year, it was awful and they are amazing and so so brave, they are currently 28 weeks, due in August so it's exciting that all going well our babies will grow up together. Have also told my sis and bro in law as we were out for a meal at the weekend and by my 5th Ginger beer my sis was like "ok, what's going on?" as she and I usually love working our way through the wine!!
That's about it, I'm seeing the midwife on mon 18th at 8+4 then just wait to see about a scan.
Sorry for the rambling long post, it's just so nice to be able to post here, I have stalked this, the preg and ttc threads for a good 18 months or so now so can't wait to follow everyone's journery's.MARCH GROCERY CHALLENGE £118/ £2500 -
