Congratulations nephthys, so pleased to see you back here! :) I'm supposed to be on the big thread (25 weeks tomorrow!) but I do lurk here a lot and it's lovely to see ladies who have been through a tough time come back :)

Thanks people, great to hear from those who've been through this all before.

Hubbys farm has sheep! We're actually trying to persuade his parents to swap them for cattle so hopefully that'll help our argument! I can easily stay away from them though.

Even tractor driving is pretty physical. Best job for me would be combine driving - sitting in an air conditioned, weight adjustable seat with ipod and fridge - best job on the farm! Dad doesn't trust me with it though.

Have booked a doctors appt for next week to clarify it.

    I'm back!

Thanks for your kind words, Rups and Moneypenny.

All's good. All's present. 12+0 so now have EDD of 10th Dec. Blood test went well too. Asked the nurse if I could lie down to have it done and she was lovely. All the staff at LRI were lovely :)

    Happy, happy, happy :)

Congrats ML. I think my due date is the same as yours. I wasn't really paying attention when I was told my due date and exactly how far along the scan put me, as I was just relieved everything looked OK, but I think it was 10th December. Hopefully we have a happy, healthy 6 months to come.

    Yay ML! That's great.

I am a bit worried as my symptomss have gone over the last two days. I've not been sick the last two mornings and my boobs are getting less and less sore :( Trying not to read too much into it, but after 4 miscarriages it is so hard not to.

Oh skint, try not to worry, everyone says symptoms come and go.
I have "only" had 1 miscarriage and am sometimes ok and sometimes worried but am trying to keep PMA.

Will you get scans to put your mind ( briefly!) at rest?

I doubt it. The midiwfe made it clear when we spoke on the phone to arrange my booking in that she thinks I'm a neurotic middle-class Yummy Mummy who needs to get a grip.

And OH doesn't want to pay for any scans because we did pay for one not the last time but the time before, and all was well at 7 weeks, but the baby died at 10 weeks. So he says it is a waste of money. I get what he means - it only gives you a snapshot of one moment in time and is not an indication of what will happen in the future.

I would probably need fortnightly scans at least to give me any kind of peace of mind, which I am simply not going to get from the NHS.

A bit of understanding from my midwife wouldn't go amiss though.

Skintchick, can you speak to your antenatal clinic at the hospital about them seeing you rather than a midwife at your local doctors surgery, that way you may get better treatment.
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

xx Mama to a gorgeous Cranio Baby xx
