I've had three dreams about my baby, all increasingly odd.
1. It came out, grabbed my phone and started texting.
2. It came out with a really quite elegant french manicure.
3. It came out covered in fur because it was actually a cat."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
sorry fluffnutter but i actually laughed out loud reading the last one. it would be great to have a pregnancy dreams journal.

I'd say that there was no harm in chasing them up - I've been doing it all the way through. Just give them a call, say that you're checking they'd received your referral, getting concerned because you're X weeks pregnant and haven't heard anything yet... etc etc.
It's hard to be positive as it has gone wrong so many times before. We're feeling more like it might be real, but equally I don't want to have high hopes because it's too hard when it does go wrong. If it doesn't work out this time we're going to take some time off TTC, as it's bad for us as a couple - it feels like it has taken this long for us to start feeling normal after the last miscarriage, and that's with the added focus (distraction?!) of having gotten pregnant straight away again.
Yup, I changed from PRUH to Mayday. Despite the fact that PRUH has a better reputation I was very disappointed with the level of care I recieved both through their 'RMC' (a 5 minute appointment with a gynaecologist, NOT a fertility specialist, telling me that my tests were normal and she was referring me back to my GP), and considering I am a 'high-risk' pregnancy I didn't hear from them at all regarding the extra scans and care I was promised I'd get. So I switched to Mayday and they've been fantastic, the fertility specialist I was seeing was reassuring and gave me loads of extra reading so I could see he was following the guidelines set out by the RCOG, I had frequent scans in early pregnancy and after seeing my MW she has told me that I'll be seen by a consultant 'just to be on the safe side'. I just feel looked after a lot better. Full marks for Mayday!0 -
sarara it will work out. we just got to go with the positive flow. when i have my scary moments and have my panic attacks, DH just says whatever is meant to happen will do and there is nothing we can do (i know at that time, it sounds so horrible) so he says to try and enjoy whatever i have right now and just be positive, because eventually we will have the baby. who would have thought it is this hard!! so easy for someone like my stupid relatives to just ask when we are having kids!
i went online and saw the form. i couldnt see a number. if i find a number i will call them. i must say comparing the EPU only in mayday from St Thomas's, i do agree that they were much better and even friendly at mayday. im glad i am there and not princess. just have to get them to see me.
thanks sara.
be positive and try and enjoy it till your scan. i understand how yu feel though. we will go through with this together. xxxBecame Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!

sarara i rang up that number on the top of the referral form. after being given another number, i got through to them, and the woman at mayday was quite sweet. she had a look through and it seemed like they dont have my notification. grrr!! so i had to ring the GP up and ask them to re-fax it. the bloody receptionist at the GP's is so rude though. she practically shouts at the person on the other side and said it shouldnt be until 16 weeks, so i said what are you talking about? anyway she faxed it again ( i hope) and hopefully i can get sorted. why are they so stupid at the Gps?Became Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!

Hey everyone.

Can't remember if I've actually mentioned it, but I have my 12 week scan on Friday (almost typed 112 weeks! Bloody nora!).
DH is excited.:p
It was going to be on Thursday at the antenatal clinic but our hospital is an hour away and the appointment was at 9:40am (the M.E means that I struggle to kickstart my system early) but when I changed it, they said it's now in the X-Ray department. Hope I still get to buy photos. In the antenatal part, there's a machine that you get a token from. Not sure about the X-Ray department!2019 Wins

Buy pics? Do I need to take money with me?0

Savage, most clinics sell baby pictures - they're between about £1.50 and £3 each, so it's a good idea to take a pocketful of change with you.
I had a dream last night that I woke up and I was bleeding. I think that maybe I'm getting stressed about Thursday...0
